On the afternoon of March 13, at the Gac Ma Soldiers Memorial Site (Cam Lam District, Khanh Hoa Province), the Youth Union of the 196th Naval Regiment in coordination with the Youth Union of the Cam Ranh Regional General Hospital organized a flower offering and incense offering ceremony to commemorate the 64 officers and soldiers of the Vietnam People's Navy who sacrificed their lives in Vietnam's Truong Sa archipelago 36 years ago (March 14, 1988 - March 14, 2024). On the morning of March 10, in Vung Tau city, Fisheries Control Team No. 2 organized a Green Sunday activity with the participation of over 350 cadres, employees, and youth union members in the entire team. Accordingly, cadres, employees, and youth union members cleaned the team grounds, roads, and unit gates, reinforced the propaganda billboard system, planted trees, etc.

More than 4,100 cadres and youth union members from 16 grassroots Youth Unions in the entire Region participated. This is one of the activities in response to Youth Month 2024 of Naval Region 4. The Volunteer Saturday activity aims to promote the spirit of volunteerism of the youth of Naval Region 4 in preserving and protecting the environment, while strengthening and enhancing responsibility in carrying out other key political tasks.

On the same day, on the morning of March 9, in the provinces of Binh Thuan, Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Dong Nai, and Ho Chi Minh City, units in the entire Naval Region 2 simultaneously organized Volunteer Saturday.
