When April comes, journalists across the country in general and Thai Nguyen in particular are nostalgic about the birthplace of the Association of Journalists. The stele marking the birthplace of the Association is engraved with the inscription: "Here, on April 21, 1950, the Congress of Vietnamese Journalists (now the Vietnam Journalists Association) took place" and is located among the cool green tea gardens and simple roofs. On August 23, 2004, the Ministry of Culture and Information issued Decision No. 74/2004/QD-BVHTT to rank this place as a National Historical Relic.
Leaders of the Vietnam Journalists Association, Thai Nguyen province and local Journalists Associations visited the exhibition house of the national historical relic, the birthplace of the Vietnam Journalists Association, in Roong Khoa hamlet, Diem Mac commune, Dinh Hoa district, Thai Nguyen.
Right from its inception, the Party has identified the press as a front, an important front in the field of culture and ideology, and each journalist is a soldier. Notably, the outstanding leaders of our Party are all journalists, typically President Ho Chi Minh and comrades such as Truong Chinh, Pham Van Dong, Xuan Thuy, Vo Nguyen Giap, etc. Therefore, the Vietnam Journalists Association is one of the earliest political - social - professional associations.
