The Thai Nguyen 2025 tourism stimulus program has the participation of many tourism businesses.
This is considered one of the key activities to realize the goal of welcoming over 6.2 million visitors and achieving revenue of VND 3,500 billion in 2025.
Awakening the potential and the problem of sustainable development
As a midland and mountainous region rich in national cultural identity, possessing a diverse ecosystem and a long history and revolution, Thai Nguyen has all the conditions to develop into an attractive destination.
From the famous Tan Cuong tea region to Nui Coc Lake tourist area, from the mysterious Phuong Hoang cave - Mo Ga stream to the sacred ATK Dinh Hoa, Thai Nguyen has both natural landscapes and cultural depth and traditional values.
Not only that, the province is also the center of the Viet Bac region, with convenient trade connections with Hanoi and the midland and mountainous provinces of the North.
However, despite possessing great potential, Thai Nguyen tourism industry has not yet made a clear breakthrough.
The reason comes from the fact that tourism products are still monotonous, lack unique experiences, support services are not synchronized, and promotion work has not been invested in proportionately.
In particular, limited regional connectivity makes the destination's appeal not strong enough to retain and attract a large number of visitors.
Tourism stimulus program 2025: New breakthrough momentum
Faced with that reality, the Thai Nguyen Tourism Stimulus Program in 2025 is expected to become an important lever to unleash potential, attract domestic and international tourists, and contribute to building the Thai Nguyen tourism brand as a friendly, attractive, and worth-experiencing destination.
The program focuses on major groups of tasks: Promoting the image of Thai Nguyen tourism, affirming its position as a safe and unique destination. Introducing unique products and quality services, enhancing the experience for tourists.
Promote regional connectivity, cooperation between localities, create interconnected, multi-point itineraries. Improve the quality of services, accommodation facilities, and tourism human resources. Apply technology and digital transformation in communication and destination promotion.
At the launching ceremony, 46 units registered to participate, including: 7 travel companies, 11 accommodation establishments, 15 restaurants - shopping spots, 13 typical tourist areas and spots.
The total value of the stimulus packages is up to nearly 22 billion VND, implemented from April to September 2025.
This is a clear demonstration of the strong participation of the business community, arousing the spirit of cooperation and action for local tourism.

On the same day, Thai Nguyen Tourism Association officially announced the decision to establish Thai Nguyen - Hanoi Tourism Association, marking an important step in connecting businesses, sharing resources and promoting the image of Thai Nguyen in the key tourism market in the North.
The association consists of 18 members who are tourism and service businesses based in Hanoi, and are natives of Thai Nguyen who are actively working in this field.
Mr. Nguyen Huu Cuong, General Director of Trang An Travel Company was appointed as Branch Chairman.
The establishment of the Association opens up opportunities to share experiences, expand customer networks, link tours between the two localities, and is an important bridge in building the image of Thai Nguyen as a more dynamic, friendly and professional destination.
Solutions for developing Thai Nguyen tourism in the coming time
To realize the goal of making tourism an important economic sector, Thai Nguyen province has proposed many key solutions: Strengthening stimulus activities, creating unique and flexible experiential programs according to seasons and festivals.
