The Price of Happiness (formerly known as The Third Party Universe ) is a family and romantic film. Thai Hoa accepted the role in the film after a series of poor and tragic roles in the movies Con Nhót mot chong, the TV series Cay tao no hoa, and Me Rom.

Two young actors Lam Thanh Nha and Uyen An were chosen to play the couple's two children.

This is also the first time Uyen An ( Mrs. Nu's House, Mai ) has acted in a film not directed by her brother Tran Thanh. The role will help the audience see more clearly her acting ability when leaving Tran Thanh's "arms".

Uyen An's role in The Price of Happiness is introduced as a "heavy role with a lot of narrative".
