Although living far from their homeland, Lao and Cambodian students studying at Thai Binh University of Medicine and Pharmacy still have a happy and warm traditional New Year celebration.
The Party Committee, the Board of Directors and the school's functional departments planned to organize the traditional New Year for nearly 500 international students very thoughtfully and in detail, ensuring that they could celebrate the New Year according to the customs and traditions and deepen the friendship between Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia. The event created a unique corner of Lao and Cambodian culture in the rice land of Thai Binh.

During the traditional Tet holiday, the wrist-tying ceremony, incense burning and water splashing are indispensable. Lao and Cambodian students, along with delegates and Vietnamese students, hold hands and dance the Lam Vong dance and other traditional dances and songs of the two brotherly nations.
On behalf of the school's leadership, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Quoc Tien, Party Secretary, Chairman of the School Board, Head of the International Student Management Board, delivered a New Year's greeting and presented fresh flowers and meaningful gifts to the two groups of international students.

This is the “second home”, where the close relationship between students from brother countries is preserved and contributes to building a friendly and international learning environment. With these feelings, each international student after returning home will become an ambassador of solidarity and friendship between countries.
