Implementing the conclusion of Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha in Notice No. 372/TB-VPCP dated August 10, 2024 of the Government Office, today (August 21), the Ministry of Transport organized a seminar "Developing green transport: Challenges and solutions to attract investment resources".
Seminar "Green Transport Development: Challenges and Solutions to Attract Investment Resources"
The seminar was organized in collaboration with Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) within the framework of the NDC Transport Initiative in Asian Countries (NDC-TIA) project.
The seminar was attended by more than 150 delegates from ministries, branches, localities; experts from research institutes, universities and international organizations in Vietnam.
The main objective of the seminar is to: Overview the situation after two years of implementing Decision 876/QD-TTg dated July 22, 2022 of the Prime Minister on the Green Energy Conversion Program, reducing carbon and methane emissions in the transport sector; Share experiences on green conversion, challenges and solutions to mobilize investment resources for green transport development.
The seminar not only created an opportunity for ministries, branches and localities to share experiences and good examples, but also an opportunity for parties to share difficulties and challenges in the process of implementing the Green Energy Conversion Program, reducing carbon and methane emissions in the transport sector.
Furthermore, this is an opportunity to listen to international organizations share about preferential investment policies for green transport development in Vietnam; support businesses to access capital sources from international financial and credit organizations to develop green, environmentally friendly transport.
