Ban Gioc Waterfall, located in Dam Thuy Commune, Trung Khanh District, Cao Bang Province, is considered a place with majestic natural scenery like a fairyland. This waterfall is also known as one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Vietnam and one of the largest natural waterfalls in Southeast Asia.
From a height of over 60m with the longest slope of 30m, large volumes of water from the top of the waterfall pour down through many layers of rock, flowing like soft white silk strips winding among the immense green of the mountains and forests, then creating a white mist of water like clouds in the sky.
Surrounding Ban Gioc waterfall is a poetic natural landscape. Coming to the waterfall, visitors will enjoy the fresh, cool air with green grass carpets, primeval forests and a diverse and rich ecosystem of flora and fauna.
For only 50,000 VND/person, visitors can take a boat ride around the foot of the waterfall in about 15 minutes. The best time to visit Cao Bang is from September to December, when Ban Gioc waterfall is full of clear blue water. In summer, this place is also an ideal destination because of the fresh weather and cool water, dispelling the hot sun.
