On the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the Fisheries Industry's traditional day on April 1 (1959 - 2024), this morning, March 28, at Nghia Hy Lake, Cam Lo Town, Cam Lo District, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development organized a program to release fish fry to regenerate and develop aquatic resources. At the program, delegates released more than 15,000 fish fry of various types including grass carp, silver carp, common carp, and catfish into Nghia Hy Lake basin, Cam Lo town.
This is an annual activity carried out by the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development in coordination with localities in the province to supplement and regenerate aquatic resources, contributing to the restoration and development of diverse aquatic species in natural waters in the province, especially indigenous, endemic, endangered and rare aquatic species.

Through this activity, we also promote awareness and sense of responsibility of organizations and individuals in the work of protecting, regenerating and developing aquatic resources, balancing ecosystems and developing sustainable aquaculture.
Guide monks, nuns, Buddhists, parishioners, organizations and individuals to release animals properly, release animals into suitable water bodies, and not release invasive alien species to protect aquatic resources, maintain ecological balance and protect biodiversity in natural water bodies.

Speaking at the ceremony, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ha Sy Dong called on all people, business community, entrepreneurs inside and outside the province, the Vietnam Provincial Buddhist Sangha; departments, branches, sectors and authorities to join hands, join forces, be unanimous, accompany and support the province in protecting and regenerating aquatic resources and propagating to all relatives and people not to exploit aquatic resources illegally, not to exploit aquatic resources by destructive methods, and to deplete aquatic resources.
At the same time, he emphasized that over the past time, the activity of regenerating aquatic resources in the province has continued to be maintained and implemented in most freshwater, brackish water and saltwater bodies; contributing to supplementing and restoring aquatic resources, including many endangered and rare aquatic species.
This is one of the important solutions to achieve the targets of fisheries development, striving to reach 40,000 tons of fisheries output by 2025; developing fisheries in a sustainable direction, combating illegal, unreported and unregulated fishing.
