The program "Welcoming the New Year 2025" has the activity "Recreating the space of the Highland Market - Welcoming the New Year 2025". The program recreates the colorful cultural space of the highland ethnic groups happily meeting, looking back on the past year and the joyful preparation to welcome the New Year 2025 at the "Common House". The highlight of the market space scene is the combination of the joyful atmosphere of going to the market, dancing together, pounding rice cakes of Mong ethnic boys and girls; folk songs, folk dances, folk games (pushing sticks, tug of war, throwing con ...), ethnic cuisine, local products, traditional crafts with the colors of the Mong, Dao, Thai ethnic groups (Thanh Hoa) and groups of Northern people who are active daily in the Village.
The market space has more than 50 stalls including: 33 stalls introducing local products in the Highland Market area; 10 thatched houses introducing traditional cuisine to serve the needs of visitors; 9 water stalls in the road area between the two ponds to serve the needs of visitors.
Some other activities include: Introducing and performing the Khen dance of the Mong ethnic group in Thanh Hoa province; Introducing and performing traditional crafts of ethnic groups in the highlands; The folk song and dance program "Colors of the market" of ethnic communities in the market space of the northern highlands.
Reenacting the "New Rice Celebration" Ceremony of the Thai ethnic group in Thanh Hoa province is an attractive activity at the Village on the occasion of New Year. The "New Rice Celebration" Ceremony is a traditional cultural feature with profound humanity that the Thai people value and preserve from generation to generation. This is an occasion for relatives and neighbors to meet, have fun, share work, build families and strengthen community solidarity. Normally, the Thai people only celebrate the New Rice Celebration once a year. This custom comes from the Thai people's belief that in order to have a bountiful harvest, the blessing of heaven and earth and ancestors is very important...
In addition, there are daily and weekend activities of 16 ethnic communities, experiential tourism programs, introduction of cake making and wrapping for tourists, folk games; activities of praying for peace and blessing at spiritual spaces of Khmer pagodas, Cham towers... introducing the culture, customs and practices of the ethnic groups, along with experiential activities at the "Common House" of the community of 54 Vietnamese ethnic groups.
