Paying the general director's income nearly 2.2 billion VND/month
Techcombank's (TCB) recently released Q4-2024 financial report revealed the remuneration and salaries of the bank's leaders.
Specifically, Mr. Ho Hung Anh - Chairman of TCB, received a salary of more than 4.3 billion VND last year, equivalent to 2023.
Mr. Nguyen Dang Quang - first vice president of TCB, received a salary of nearly 3.99 billion VND, higher but not significantly higher than last year.
The remaining vice presidents such as Mr. Nguyen Thieu Quang, Mr. Nguyen Canh Son, and Mr. Ho Anh Ngoc received VND1.7 billion; VND3.8 billion and more than VND2.67 billion respectively.
The highest paid person on TCB's board of directors is Mr. Eugene Keith Galbraith - an independent member of the board of directors, with VND 6.75 billion for the whole year of 2024.
In the position of head of the board of supervisors and full-time member, Mr. Hoang Huy Trung was paid more than 5.13 billion VND by Techcombank last year.
The report revealed that the person receiving the highest income at TCB is Mr. Jens Lottner - General Director with a salary of more than 25.66 billion VND, an increase of nearly 1.6 billion VND compared to 2023.
The income that TCB "generously" spends on foreign CEOs is much higher than the average income of 2.5 billion VND that general directors on the stock exchange receive in 2023, according to Fiingroup data.
Also according to a report from Fiingroup , in the top 15 enterprises with the highest CEO income in 2023, the top position belongs to Kinh Bac Urban Development Corporation (KBC) with 17 billion VND. Thus, it can be seen that the income that Techcombank CEO received in 2024 is much higher than the highest level recorded in 2023.
Last year, Techcombank spent VND6,894 billion on employee salaries, 5% higher than in 2023, while pre-tax profit reached VND27,538 billion, up more than 20%. The average income of TCB's employees is also the highest in the banking system at VND49 million/month/person.
For the whole year, the average income of Techcombank employees "pocketed" nearly 590 million VND, equivalent to nearly 7 taels of SJC gold (converted at year-end price).
Real estate businesses also "generously" pay foreign employees' income
Returning to the situation of leadership income in 2024, one of the places paying the most "generously" in the group of real estate enterprises on the stock exchange is Nam Long Investment Joint Stock Company (NLG).
The 4th quarter 2024 financial report recorded that Mr. Lucas Ignatius Loh - General Director of NLG, received an income of nearly 12 billion VND last year. This position was appointed starting from March 2024, and his term until the end of the year is less than 12 months.
Meanwhile, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Quang - Chairman of NLG, received a salary of nearly 4.7 billion VND, a slight decrease compared to nearly 5.2 billion VND in 2023.
Last year, NLG spent more than VND17.63 billion on remuneration for board members and more than VND38.6 billion for the board of directors and other management members. With more than VND56.25 billion spent, NLG's leadership expenses increased by nearly 12% compared to 2023.
The fourth quarter financial report also showed that the salaries, bonuses and remuneration of the bosses of Binh Minh Plastics Joint Stock Company (BMP) in 2024 increased compared to the previous year.
Of which, Mr. Chaowalit Treejak - member of the board of directors and general director - received nearly 6.2 billion VND - an increase of 23%, equivalent to nearly 520 million VND per month.
