Tay Son is qualified to develop high-tech industry thanks to its proximity to the airport.

At the ceremony, the leader of Tay Son District People's Committee said that after nearly 13 years of implementing the national target program on new rural construction, the rural appearance in Tay Son District, Binh Dinh Province has gradually improved. From a midland and difficult district, Tay Son has gradually become a fairly developed district of the province.

By the end of 2023, the total product value of Tay Son district will reach over 7,000 billion VND, the average annual economic growth rate by product value will reach 6.3%; the economic structure will shift in a positive direction; the district's annual budget revenue will reach and exceed the provincial estimate.

Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc awarded a certificate recognizing Tay Son district as meeting new rural standards in 2023 and presented flowers to congratulate the leaders of Tay Son district.

The average income per capita in Tay Son district reached over 47 million VND, 3 times higher than in 2011. The multidimensional poverty rate in the district decreased to 3.57%. The whole district has 14/14 communes meeting new rural standards, two communes meeting advanced new rural standards and one town meeting civilized urban criteria.

Vice Chairman of Tay Son District People's Committee Phan Chi Hung shared that Tay Son is identified as one of the localities located on the East-West economic corridor, connecting Quy Nhon port with the Central Highlands. This is a favorable condition for the district to become one of the areas with deep development in the industrial sector. The district always identifies "industry as the pillar, agriculture as the support, tourism as the spearhead" to develop the strengths of the locality.

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc emphasized that Binh Dinh has made many efforts to rise up and achieved proud achievements, making important contributions to the overall achievements of the whole country in the cause of building new rural areas.

From a midland district with complex terrain and unfavorable terrain conditions, the leaders of Tay Son district have led the people of the entire district to have 14/14 communes achieving 100% of new rural communes. This is an initial but extremely great victory, marking a miracle of the district.

Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc said that Tay Son district achieving new rural standards is a great joy, however the district must strive to achieve a model new rural area to have greater joy.

Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Finance Ho Duc Phoc and leaders of Binh Dinh province came to offer flowers and incense at Quang Trung Museum (Tay Son district).

"Building new thinking. For example, opening a 7m wide road now seems very big. But in a few years it will become narrow, and then if you want to expand it, it will be very expensive to build construction and houses. Therefore, new thinking must be placed right from the planning issue," Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc said.

The Deputy Prime Minister also said that localities must develop high-productivity agriculture, adopt modern methods, apply high technology, information technology and digitalization. In industry, we must develop industrial parks.

"Tay Son district has full potential and conditions to develop high-tech industrial parks. Because we are here very close to the airport, and Phu Cat airport will become an international airport. Therefore, there are full conditions to build a high-tech industrial park. We hope and believe that one day in the not too distant future, the homeland of the national hero Emperor Quang Trung will be a model image of the new rural area of ​​Vietnam," the Deputy Prime Minister expected.

Also on the morning of October 1, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc and members of the delegation offered flowers and incense at the Quang Trung Museum (Tay Son district) and offered incense at the Tomb of the Tay Son Three Heroes (the grandfather of the three Tay Son brothers: Nguyen Nhac, Nguyen Hue, Nguyen Lu and was established by King Thai Duc - Nguyen Nhac in 1779).
