Tay Ninh: Honoring outstanding literary and artistic works

The event aims to honor outstanding literary and artistic works with profound ideological and artistic values; meet and express gratitude to artists who have made important contributions to the province's literature and arts; and promptly encourage and motivate authors whose works won prizes in the " Tay Ninh - 50 years of rising vitality" Literary and Artistic Creation Contest.

Acting Chairman of Tay Ninh Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hong Thanh presented flowers to congratulate outstanding artists.

Writer and musician Van An (1925-2005), an outstanding son of Tay Ninh, left a deep mark on Vietnamese literature and music . With more than 50 years of writing in his 80 years of life, he was one of the first members of the Vietnam Writers Association in Tay Ninh.

Author Van An is famous for two songs "Back to the Golden River" and "Winning the Roundabout". In particular, the song "Winning the Roundabout" has become the familiar theme song of Tay Ninh Radio and Television Station from 1977 to present.

Honoring outstanding literary and artistic works in the past 50 years

Acting Chairman of Tay Ninh Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hong Thanh acknowledged the contributions of artists to the socio -economic development and literary and artistic achievements of the province.

On this occasion, the provincial leaders presented flowers and gifts to 52 outstanding artists, honored works of profound ideological and artistic value, which are typical literary and artistic works, valuable contributions to the achievements of the province's literature and art over the past 50 years; awarded prizes for the contest of composing literary and artistic works with the theme "Tay Ninh - 50 years of rising vitality".
