Tay Ninh has many advantages to organize organic agricultural production. These are advantages in terrain, climate, and soil suitable for developing valuable crops and livestock.

To bring to the market many products to meet domestic consumption needs and export orientation, the local agricultural sector is shifting from single-sector focused development to multi-sector development, shifting production from single value to multi-value integrated production with the major goal of moving towards green agriculture, organic agriculture, and ecological agriculture.

In particular, Tay Ninh province has also had many policies to support the development of agricultural production such as supporting interest rates for loans to develop good agricultural practices, high-tech agriculture and organic agriculture; policies to support the linkage of production and consumption of agricultural products; specific policies to encourage investment in agriculture and rural areas; policies to support the application of good agricultural practices in agriculture.

In addition, Tay Ninh also has policies to encourage production forms of cooperatives, enterprises, cooperative groups, farms and organic agricultural production households; develop organic production associated with value chain linkages to increase investment efficiency and increase competitiveness in the market.

According to the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Tay Ninh province, thanks to policies, many local gardeners have applied high technology in agricultural production such as automatic and semi-automatic irrigation systems equipped in greenhouses and net houses for melons, leafy vegetables, and fruit vegetables with a total area of ​​over 35 hectares, using technology controlled by smartphones and through temperature and humidity sensors; applying electronic traceability software (KIPUS) to 194 organizations and individuals with a total area of ​​1,503 hectares on grapefruit, banana, custard apple, mango, longan, apple, avocado... and issuing 50,000 product traceability stamps to 9 establishments that are organizations and individuals producing fruit trees.

The province has also supported the issuance of 100 growing area codes and 21 fresh fruit packaging facility codes for export to markets such as the EU, the US, Australia, New Zealand and China; supported VietGAP certification for 48 production facilities which are cooperatives, cooperative groups, and production linkage groups with a total area of ​​over 1,037 hectares... This is a premise for the locality to move towards organic agriculture.

According to Mr. Nguyen Dinh Xuan - Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Tay Ninh province, developing organic agriculture with high added value, sustainability, and environmental friendliness associated with agricultural economy is a production trend that is increasingly being implemented by many businesses, farmers, cooperatives... in the locality.

“In order to promote the development of organic agriculture, the province aims to implement groups of solutions such as: Analyzing and evaluating objectively, comprehensively, scientifically and practically the potential, advantages as well as difficulties and challenges for the development of organic agriculture to build a suitable production development roadmap, with high added value, sustainability, friendliness to the ecological environment, linked to the domestic and export markets”, said Mr. Nguyen Dinh Xuan.

In the period of 2020 - 2025, Tay Ninh will orient and form organic agricultural production areas on a number of subjects including rice, vegetables, fruit trees, cows, pigs, goats, and chickens.

Accordingly, the tasks set out by the province are to build and develop concentrated organic agricultural production areas and key organic products; develop diverse forms of organic product production organization; research, develop and apply technology in organic agriculture; increase processing, consumption and export of organic products and develop input materials to serve the development of organic agriculture.

To realize the goal of developing organic agriculture, Tay Ninh has also issued 2 policies to support the development of organic agriculture in the province, the funding source for implementation is the career capital from the provincial budget.

In addition, to develop circular and organic agriculture in the field of cultivation, the province also guides farms and businesses to apply technological measures to recycle and process agricultural by-products into organic fertilizers for production.

At the same time, develop specific policies to encourage the development of circular economy in livestock farming for both farmers and businesses participating in livestock waste treatment; build models for circular and ecological agricultural development in crop and livestock farming; use crop products as animal feed and effectively use livestock by-products, providing organic materials for crop farming; apply new techniques to produce fertilizer from manure and livestock waste, gas from biogas tanks, use as raw materials for other crops to close the production cycle; encourage the replication of sustainable crop and livestock farming models that adapt to climate change...

At the same time, promote advanced, environmentally friendly production processes, prioritize the development of organic and circular livestock farming models, and cooperative models for product consumption according to the value chain; build and replicate models of using mixed animal feed and using biological products to replace antibiotics in livestock farming.

Developing organic agricultural products will help exploit more effectively the potential and strengths of each locality, develop quality products according to standards, increase competitiveness, and meet market needs in the context of international economic integration.
