On February 9, a source from Hoa Hiep Nam Border Guard Station (Phu Yen Province Border Guard) said that they had towed a foreign fishing boat and brought 4 crew members drifting at sea safely to shore.
Previously, on February 8, Hoa Hiep Nam Border Guard Station received a report from Mr. Truong Van Loc (born in 1992, permanent resident of Phu Lac quarter, Hoa Hiep Nam ward, Dong Hoa town) discovering a foreign fishing boat, with registration number JYNCAY NO7 drifting into the waters of My Hoa quarter (Hoa Hiep Bac ward, Dong Hoa town); there were 4 workers on board.
Hoa Hiep Nam Border Guard Station sent 12 officers and soldiers to coordinate with local authorities to tow the fishing boat safely to shore and receive and provide initial health care for the crew members.
Through verification, this is a Taiwanese (China) fishing boat, 22m long, 450 CV capacity, trawling; on board there are 4 workers (3 Taiwanese, 1 Vietnamese named Luu Van B., born in 1982, residing in Tan Ky, Nghe An).
The ship departed from Taiwan, on February 6 the ship had engine failure in Ly Son waters and drifted to Phu Yen waters.
