More than 50% of electricity customers install EVNHCMC CSKH App
Every time she receives a text message notifying her of her electricity bill, Ms. Nguyen Mai Lien (72 years old, living in Thu Duc City, Ho Chi Minh City) opens the detailed electricity bill to "check" whether her children and grandchildren's electricity usage this month is higher than before. In September, while her daughter was "screaming" why the electricity bill was much higher than last month, she calmly sat down to "check" the detailed electricity bill on the EVNHCMC CSKH app. Then, she nagged: "Didn't you see that the bill period lasted more than 3 weeks? Instead of recording on August 7, it was recorded on August 31. Didn't you read the newspaper, didn't you know about the change in the electricity meter reading date? This month only, next month it's always at the end of the month. Didn't you research, just rushed. The only thing you're good at is turning on the lights and forgetting to turn them off." While "complaining" to her daughter, she went into her daughter's room and turned off the TV that was on but no one was watching.
For a retired teacher like Ms. Nguyen Mai Lien, using a smartphone proficiently, installing apps to track electricity bills, and shopping online through e-commerce apps is not strange. That is also one of the successes in the digital transformation work that brings convenience to every home, every citizen, regardless of age of the electricity industry. "I liken this to a smart "pressure". It "understands" what I want, and when I search, I get information. It is very clear, the problem is to take the time to open it up and see a lot of necessary information, from email, hotline number, how to calculate electricity prices at each level, to details of how many kilos of electricity I use each day, from there I know to save some...", Ms. Lien shared.
Instead of having to spend time and effort traveling like many years ago, more than 2.7 million customers use electricity from EVNHCMC today only needs to perform operations on a smartphone with an internet connection to be able to perform all electricity requests and procedures on an online platform.
Ho Chi Minh City Electricity is one of the leading units in digital transformation.
Speaking with Thanh Nien , an EVNHCMC representative said that since 2015, EVNHCMC has developed a customer care application and utility (EVNHCMC CSKH App) in parallel with the implementation of an effective remote measurement system. The purpose is to create the fastest and most convenient conditions for customers by providing a number of new services, empowering customers to track and monitor their electricity usage. At the same time, monitor the quality of electricity industry services anytime, anywhere through the CSKH application and EVNHCMC's CSKH website. Since then, the app has been upgraded once, and there are currently more than 1 million customers using this app, accounting for nearly 50%.

"The remote metering system not only collects remote electricity indexes to calculate electricity bills for customers but also provides additional information related to customers' electricity usage. For example, warnings about cases of abnormal increase/decrease in electricity usage, warnings about operating parameters such as current, voltage, power factor, etc. These warnings will be automatically sent to customers via the EVNHCMC CSKH App, Zalo, email, etc. From there, customers can proactively build a more flexible, efficient and economical electricity usage plan, contributing to environmental protection and reducing economic costs for families and society.
According to EVNHCMC representative, customers can now use all electricity services anytime, anywhere and 24/7. All information about electricity, including meter reading schedule, electricity supply schedule, sending requests and monitoring the progress of electricity services such as issuing new electricity purchase contracts; changing/adding contract information; extending/terminating electricity purchase contracts; temporarily suspending electricity use; services for checking and verifying metering equipment, monitoring electricity consumption indexes, etc. are all provided online.
"The vast majority of electricity customers in Ho Chi Minh City are especially satisfied with the feature of monitoring monthly electricity consumption index on the EVNHCMC Customer Service App as well as the feature of warning electricity usage thresholds to proactively control and adjust electricity usage to save and be safe every day," emphasized an EVNHCMC representative.
For customers using large amounts of electricity through specialized transformer stations, EVNHCMC said it also provides daily electricity usage charts, capacity charts, current charts, power factor charts, etc. with a frequency of 30 minutes/time for customers to remotely monitor the power system in near real time. Providing this information is very important to exploit this data in production and business activities. In addition, through the EVNHCMC CSKH application, electricity customers quickly receive notifications of unusual cases of the power system to coordinate with the electricity industry to promptly check and handle to minimize power incidents on the system, ensure stable, continuous and safe power supply, as well as improve the reliability of power supply.
"In the coming time, the city's electricity industry will continue to upgrade and add more advanced features to make it easier for customers to use. For example, improving the responsiveness of services, tracking the route of electricians, making free calls via the app... Especially supporting advanced consulting, choosing consulting staff via the app", Mr. Phan Hoang San - Director of EVNHCMC Customer Care Center emphasized.
