Focus on synchronously implementing solutions to successfully fulfill the 2025 tasks

On the afternoon of December 25, Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee held a conference to review the work in 2024 and deploy tasks in 2025.

Attending the conference were comrades: Nguyen Dinh Trung - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Huynh Thi Chien Hoa - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Pham Ngoc Nghi - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of the Provincial People's Committee, the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, departments, branches, associations and unions of the province.

In 2024, along with many localities across the country, Dak Lak province entered the task of socio-economic development with many difficulties and challenges, but in general, the socio-economic situation of the province continued to maintain development. Although the growth rate has not met expectations and the scenario set out at the beginning of the year, the scale of the economy continues to maintain good growth momentum. By the end of 2024, the scale of the economy at current prices GRDP of the province is estimated at 141,326 billion VND, an increase of 16.7% compared to 2023, equal to 105.72% of the plan (leading the Central Highlands region). All regions have growth compared to the same period.

Compared to 2023, the total retail turnover of goods and service revenue is estimated at 105,000 billion VND, equal to 105.2% of the plan, up 4.96%; GRDP per capita (at current prices) is estimated at 72.8 million VND/person, up 9.8 million VND/person; total state budget revenue in the area is estimated at 8,500 billion VND, up 7.78%; export turnover to date is estimated at 1,853 million USD, up 23.9%.

Many cultural, festival and sports events took place enthusiastically, especially the province successfully organized activities to celebrate the 120th anniversary of Dak Lak province's founding, contributing to promoting the image, potential and strengths of Dak Lak province and attracting tourists to the province.

Foreign affairs and international cooperation continued to develop, international integration was increasingly expanded in a number of fields, notably the province successfully organized the Business and Investment Conference between India and the Central Highlands provinces.

Social security, care for the meritorious, poverty reduction, and the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses continued to receive attention and were promptly implemented. Land, resource, and environmental management and administrative reform were actively implemented. National defense was strengthened, and sovereignty, territory, and border security were maintained.

In addition to the achieved results, the implementation of the 2024 tasks still faces some shortcomings and limitations such as: economic development is not sustainable, the GRDP economic growth rate has not reached the set plan; capital mobilization for social investment has not met the plan; business activities continue to face many difficulties, the number of dissolved and temporarily suspended enterprises has increased compared to the same period; poverty reduction is not sustainable, the poverty rate is still high compared to the whole country; disbursement of public investment capital has improved but has not met the set requirements; some key projects and works are implemented slowly; collection of provincial land use fees is low...

Promoting the achieved results, in 2025, Dak Lak province sets 16 main targets such as: Gross social product (GRDP - at 2010 comparative prices) strives to reach 67,783 billion VND; GRDP per capita (at current prices) reaches 81 million VND/person; mobilized social investment capital reaches 42,300 billion VND; total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue in the area reaches 110,000 billion VND; 3,188 enterprises and 60 newly established cooperatives; the poverty rate decreases by 3% or more; the rate of schools meeting national standards reaches 63%; strives to have a cumulative of 97/149 communes meeting new rural standards by the end of 2025...

Speaking at the conference, Party Central Committee member, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Dinh Trung acknowledged and commended the achievements in the leadership, direction and administration of the Provincial People's Committee in 2024. At the same time, he emphasized that 2025 is of great significance, a year of acceleration, breakthrough, and completion in implementing the targets and tasks of the Resolution of the 17th Provincial Party Congress, and at the same time, it is also the year of holding Party congresses at all levels, the 18th Provincial Party Congress, term 2025-2030, towards the 14th National Congress of the Party. This is also the year when Dak Lak province and the whole country enter a new era, an era of national growth, the entire political system focuses on implementing the arrangement and streamlining of the apparatus, so the tasks set out in 2025 will be more difficult and burdensome, requiring focused leadership and synchronous and effective direction from the province to the grassroots.

Comrade Nguyen Dinh Trung suggested that in the coming time, all levels, sectors and localities need to continue to innovate leadership and management methods; pay attention to reforming administrative procedures, creating favorable conditions for people, businesses and investors; further enhance the responsibility of leaders as well as cadres and civil servants, while tightening administrative discipline and order; effectively implement the work of arranging and streamlining the apparatus according to Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW on continuing to innovate and arrange the apparatus of the political system to be streamlined, effective and efficient.

In addition, sectors and localities need to continue to effectively implement provincial planning, land planning, disbursement of public investment capital, effectively exploiting land in various fields, attracting investment and removing obstacles for projects to unleash resources for socio-economic growth; well organize the 9th Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival in 2025 and the 50th Anniversary of Buon Ma Thuot Victory to liberate Dak Lak province; pay attention to social security and people's lives; effectively handle complicated and prolonged mass complaints...

At the conference, the Provincial People's Committee launched an emulation movement to carry out the tasks of socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security, and building the political system in the province by 2025.
