On the afternoon of February 28, the Organizing Committee of the activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Buon Ma Thuot Victory, the liberation of Dak Lak province (March 10, 1975 - March 10, 2025) and the 9th Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival in 2025 held a meeting to review the progress of the implementation of the activities. Comrade Nguyen Tuan Ha, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Organizing Committee chaired the meeting.
Also attending the meeting were Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thien Van and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Truong Cong Thai; leaders of relevant departments, branches, localities and associations.

At the meeting, the Provincial People's Committee listened to reports from departments, branches and localities on the progress of implementing activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Buon Ma Thuot Victory, the liberation of Dak Lak province (March 10, 1975 - March 10, 2025). Accordingly, the units have advised on organizing incense offering and flower offering ceremonies to present gifts to outstanding people with revolutionary contributions and organizing a ceremony to visit the provincial martyrs' cemetery; the 50th anniversary of Buon Ma Thuot Victory, the liberation of Dak Lak province (March 10, 1975 - March 10, 2025); Organizing a contest to learn about the 50th anniversary of Buon Ma Thuot Victory, the liberation of Dak Lak province; Summarizing and awarding prizes before March 10, 2025; Ministry of National Defense-level scientific conference to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Central Highlands Victory (1975 - 2025), with the theme "Central Highlands Victory 1975 - Half a century of building and developing Dak Lak"; Photo exhibition "Dak Lak - 50 years of building and developing"; inauguration of the project "Welcoming and showing gratitude to families with meritorious services";

Regarding the implementation of the 9th Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival in 2025, the Departments and branches focus on carefully preparing for 17 official activities, sending invitations to delegates, confirming domestic and international guests; arranging funding for localities and implementing units; inviting partners to attend the International Trade Conference - Connecting, Elevating Vietnamese Coffee...
Up to now, preparations for the 50th anniversary and Festival activities have been and are being carried out according to schedule. Propaganda work has been strengthened, and communication campaigns have been deployed on mass media and social networks to promote the event. Authorities have developed effective coordination plans to ensure security and order throughout the duration of the activities.
Comrade Luu Van Khoi - Director of the Department of Industry and Trade reported on the preparation for the International Trade Conference - Connecting and Elevating Vietnamese Coffee
At the meeting, representatives of the Department and branches requested the Provincial People's Committee to give early direction on a number of issues arising during the preparation process for the Festival such as: Ensuring security and order at the Opening Ceremony, guests of the International Trade Conference - Connecting and Elevating Vietnamese Coffee; arranging funds to ensure live TV program transmission lines, welcoming foreign delegations; funding for the Coffee Camp; Lak District Dugout Canoe Racing Association...
Comrade Chau Thi Hong Mai - Deputy Director of the Department of Foreign Affairs reported on the work of welcoming international guests.
In addition, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism proposed that the Provincial People's Committee and the Festival Organizing Committee create conditions for the Champasak-Laos art troupe to perform an exchange performance in Buon Don district on the evening of March 11, 2025; Request the Provincial Police and the Provincial Military Command to soon give their opinions on the location of the drone flight and landing during the Light Festival to have a basis to advise the Organizing Committee on implementation. Request the Organizing Committee to send a document to the 198th Special Forces Brigade to request support for 300 soldiers to participate in the Street Festival parade.
Trung Nguyen Group Joint Stock Company proposed that the Provincial People's Committee and the Festival Organizing Committee support all costs of technical infrastructure, equipment, labor, etc. to provide electricity for both programs.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Tuan Ha, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, emphasized that the activities to celebrate the Buon Ma Thuot Victory, the liberation of Dak Lak province and the 9th Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival in 2025 are among the key political tasks of the province in 2025. Therefore, all levels, sectors and localities need to focus on reviewing, clearly defining responsibilities, and focusing on seriously and effectively implementing assigned tasks.

Comrade Nguyen Tuan Ha noted that the time for the activities is not long. Therefore, the relevant departments, branches and units urgently review, adjust and complete the assigned tasks and work content to ensure the set progress. The sub-committees urgently carry out the assigned tasks, including continuing to promote propaganda work to create a spread, attracting the attention of people from all walks of life inside and outside the province to the 50th anniversary activities and the Festival. Ensure security, order and food safety for people and tourists.
Requesting Departments, branches and localities to focus on reviewing assigned activities, completing plans to propose additional funding to ensure implementation and sending them to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism before March 3, 2025 to submit to the Festival Organizing Committee for direction and resolution;
Assign the Department of Foreign Affairs to review and prepare the speech of the General Director of the International Coffee Organization (ICO) - Ms. Vanusia Noguiera; Assign the Department of Industry and Trade to proactively decide on the guests for the reception, promptly submit the budget estimate for the reception of the International Trade Conference - Connecting and Elevating Vietnamese Coffee to ensure savings and efficiency, focusing on building the content of the session connecting trade with Chinese enterprises; agree to propose additional funding to ensure the broadcast for the live opening and closing programs of the Festival; support for soldiers to participate in the Street Festival parade; Closing Ceremony and Farmers' Competition.....
