Focus on discussing 3 breakthroughs

The Vietnam Trade Union Congress takes place from December 1-3, 2023, at the National Convention Center, Hanoi. Attending are 1,100 official delegates representing 11 million union members nationwide.

The congress is expected to discuss three breakthroughs: promoting dialogue and collective bargaining, focusing on wages, bonuses, working hours, rest hours, and occupational safety and hygiene. Focusing on developing union members and establishing grassroots unions in non-state enterprises. Building a team of grassroots union chairmen to meet the requirements of the task, especially union chairmen in non-state enterprises.

Compared to previous congresses, the 13th Congress of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor has many new points in the organization method such as: Opening 10 thematic forums to discuss and propose initiatives for 10 major issues facing the trade union organization; increasing the application of digital technology in organizing and serving the congress; designing and operating congress applications on mobile devices to provide information, documents, exchange and interact with delegates. The art program is carefully invested in content, applying modern technology to create highlights. The programs to welcome the success of the congress will be integrated with activities to care for workers.
