Training on operating the "Leader of Change" Club model

The Women's Union of Tan Son district has just coordinated with the district's Department of Education and Training to organize 12 training courses on operating the "Leader of Change" Club model in 12 schools for 600 students who are club members and outstanding students.

The training course aims to improve the quality of club activities and help members become pioneers in changing awareness, eliminating gender stereotypes and backward customs, contributing to raising awareness, attitudes and behaviors of children, teachers, and local officials in implementing children's rights and duties, protecting children from all forms of violence, abuse, exploitation, trafficking, kidnapping and child marriage, etc.

At the same time, help club members grasp knowledge and life skills to improve the quality of operating the model at the grassroots level. From there, together with local authorities, widely propagate in village and hamlet meetings to contribute to solving urgent problems for children in ethnic minority and mountainous areas.

This model is part of Project 8 “Implementing gender equality and solving urgent issues for women and children”, under the National Target Program on socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas.
