On November 28, the People's Committee of Nho Quan district coordinated with Hanoi Capital University to open training courses on intangible culture and tourism skills and expertise associated with exploiting traditional cultural values of the Muong ethnic group.
Attending the training course were leaders of the People's Committee, cultural and social officials of ethnic minority and mountainous communes of the district and 2 communes of Xich Tho and Phu Son with 155 trainees.
At the training course, the trainees were taught basic knowledge about the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws related to the work of preserving and promoting the value of cultural heritage; the position and role of cultural officials, artisans, and prestigious people in preserving and promoting the value of national cultural identity at the grassroots level by lecturers from Hanoi Capital University; Hanoi University of Culture and experienced artisans from localities.
At the same time, students are instructed and taught basic skills in using traditional musical instruments, folk songs, folk dances; folk medicine, culinary arts typical of the Muong people; and are taught the language, writing, and some folk prayers of the Muong people; training in skills and tourism expertise associated with exploiting traditional cultural values of the Muong people...
The organization of the training course aims to contribute to the timely restoration, preservation and promotion of the value of typical intangible cultural heritages that are at risk of fading away and being lost. At the same time, through the training course, it is the basis for the District Department of Culture and Information to continue advising the District People's Committee to develop plans, projects and projects to effectively preserve and promote the cultural heritages of the Muong ethnic group in association with socio-economic development and improving the material and spiritual life of people in ethnic minority areas in the following years.
