Training to learn about policies, legal regulations, skills and knowledge about marketing in e-commerce

(Haiphong.gov.vn) – On the morning of November 5, more than 300 delegates from Departments, branches, units, localities, Business Associations, Cooperatives... in the city attended the training course on legal regulations on e-commerce; combating smuggling, trade fraud, trading in counterfeit goods, goods infringing intellectual property rights in the online environment organized by the City Department of Industry and Trade in coordination with the Department of E-commerce and Digital Economy, Ministry of Industry and Trade.

The training program aims to provide knowledge about e-commerce, common violations in the field of e-commerce; some e-commerce trends in the digital age and the application of e-commerce, approaching customers in the online environment. Thereby helping businesses, cooperatives, organizations, and individuals improve their skills and knowledge, helping state management units perform their duties and tasks better.

Speaking at the opening of the training course, Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of the city Nguyen Van Thanh stated that in recent times, besides the opportunities for development, export turnover growth and expansion of potential markets thanks to e-commerce, Vietnamese enterprises in general and the Hai Phong business community in particular are still facing many difficulties and challenges, specifically: lack of information on policies and legal regulations on e-commerce; insufficient skills and knowledge about marketing in e-commerce; limitations in building business orientation and brand protection in e-commerce... Therefore, this training program will contribute to supporting and promoting the widespread application of e-commerce, while strengthening state management in e-commerce activities in the city, the leader of the Department of Industry and Trade emphasized.

Accordingly, during the 1-day training course, delegates will listen to the Lecturer from the Center for E-commerce Development (Department of E-commerce and Digital Economy) introduce: Overview of e-commerce and e-commerce laws in Vietnam; some common violations, inspection, examination and handling of violations in the field of e-commerce; setting up accounts and doing business on famous e-commerce platforms in Vietnam such as Shopee, Tiki, Lazada, social networks Facebook, TikTok... At the same time, learn how to deploy multi-channel content to optimize and reach customers; Practice on AI, how to set up accounts and do business on famous e-commerce platforms in Vietnam, social networks Facebook, TikTok; Livestream selling on platforms...

In recent years, despite many difficulties in the world and regional economies, Vietnam's e-commerce has always maintained impressive growth momentum, maintaining a high growth rate. Vietnam is recognized as having the leading e-commerce development rate in Southeast Asia. According to the Vietnam E-commerce Index Report, it is estimated that the growth rate of Vietnam's e-commerce in 2023 will increase by over 25% compared to 2022 and reach 25 billion USD, of which the scale of online retail sales of goods will reach 17.3 billion USD; in which cross-border e-commerce is growing strongly, with a rapid growth rate and is one of the top priorities. In Hai Phong city, revenue exchanged through e-commerce in recent years has accounted for about 16-18% of the total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue in the whole city, achieving an average growth rate of 23-25%/year; Every year, 55-60% of small and medium enterprises operating in the commercial sector participate in domestic and foreign e-commerce platforms./.
