Capacity building training for Women's Union officials

On April 22, the Provincial Women's Union coordinated with the Central Policy and Law Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union to organize a training course to improve capacity on domestic violence prevention and control for 75 union officials in districts, communes and towns implementing Project 8.

Legal advice integrated with Mock Trial to raise awareness of law compliance for officials, members, and women

At the training course, the trainees listened to the reporter present and share knowledge about the Law on Prevention and Control of Domestic Violence and the role and responsibility of the Vietnam Women's Union in preventing and controlling domestic violence; experience and skills in resolving cases related to violence and abuse of women and children from the discovery of the case; speaking up, protecting the legal and legitimate rights and interests of women and children in ethnic minority and mountainous areas...

Through the training course, the Association's staff will improve their knowledge on preventing and combating domestic violence, gender equality, and skills in solving issues related to violence and abuse against women and children. Thereby, contributing to promoting gender equality and solving urgent issues related to women and children in ethnic minority and mountainous areas.

On the same day, the Provincial Women's Union also organized a legal consultation conference combined with a mock trial in two communes implementing Project 8, Thang Son and Tat Thang (Thanh Son district), attracting over 500 members, women, and people to participate.
