Training to improve knowledge and skills in caring for and raising children with disabilities

On April 10, in Van Ninh district, the Provincial Women's Union coordinated with the Provincial Association for the Protection of the Disabled, Poor Patients and Children's Rights to organize a training course to raise awareness, provide knowledge and skills for parents, caregivers and caregivers of children with disabilities in 2025. The training course was attended by 70 grassroots women's cadres, propagandists, parents and relatives who are caring for and nurturing children with disabilities from 7 communes and towns in the district.

At the training course, trainees were informed about developmental disorders in children; the role of parents and caregivers in accompanying children; behavior management to help children control emotions and integrate better; learn about the application of scientific methods to help children with disabilities improve their health and spirit... The training course was organized to promote and raise community awareness about child mental health care, protection and care for children with disabilities and orphans; fight against stigma and discrimination against people with disabilities. In addition, it provided information about children's rights; improved knowledge and skills for parents and caregivers of children with disabilities and orphans.

It is known that in April 2025, the two organizations will continue to open 5 more training courses on improving knowledge and skills in caring for and raising disabled children in Nha Trang City, Ninh Hoa Town, Cam Ranh City and Cam Lam District.
