From June 12 to 24, the Provincial Red Cross Society coordinated with the City Red Cross Society to organize training courses on first aid, emergency care and drowning prevention for adolescents in 7 communes of the city including: Hop Thanh, Ta Phoi, Coc San, Cam Duong, Thong Nhat, Dong Tuyen, Van Hoa.

Participating in the training, more than 1,100 young people in 7 communes of the city were imparted basic knowledge about the causes of drowning, prevention measures, rescue and first aid for drowning; methods of controlling and adjusting breathing; instructions on hypothetical situations of drowning people and first aid, rescue and first aid methods, emergency care for drowning victims; communication skills to prevent drowning in the community...
In particular, in the practical part, students wear life jackets, use floating objects, ropes, and poles to rescue victims who have fallen into the water and provide first aid to victims. At the same time, participating in games such as diving competitions, boating on the river, and ringing the golden bell helps students get acquainted with situations that may occur in reality and grasp the knowledge.

This is a practical activity during the summer to contribute to reducing the rate of injuries and deaths due to drowning for children; building a safe and healthy environment for children, limiting and repelling child injuries, especially drowning accidents.
