On October 9, Ms. Cao Thi Thanh - Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of Lam Dong province said that the Department has coordinated with the Vietnam Federation of Commerce and Industry - Ho Chi Minh City Branch (VCCI) to organize a training conference on international integration and foreign economic relations for civil servants working on international integration in Lam Dong province.

Attending the training session were nearly 50 delegates representing departments, branches and sectors; People's Committees of districts and cities and members of the Steering Committee, the Expert Team assisting the Steering Committee on international integration in Lam Dong province.
The training session was taught by Mr. Vu Xuan Hung - Head of Legal - Arbitration Department - Vietnam Federation of Commerce and Industry - Ho Chi Minh City Branch.
According to Ms. Cao Thi Thanh - Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade, currently, the demand of enterprises in international economic integration is very large, especially in the context of Vietnam joining FTAs very deeply. Because international integration is related to the story of market access. The Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI) is assessed to have a great impact on the business environment, creating conditions for enterprises to develop and integrate. The FTA Index is expected to help localities take advantage of FTAs, boosting export capacity.
At the same time, in order to provide information and improve knowledge on international integration and foreign economic affairs for civil servants and public employees in the province, the Department of Industry and Trade organized a training conference with the participation of members of the Steering Committee, the Expert Team assisting the Steering Committee on international integration of the province, cadres, civil servants and public employees of departments, branches, sectors, People's Committees of districts and cities in the province.
The training session focuses on necessary contents in the current period such as: Guidance on skills to exploit information sources of FTA signatory countries, trade policies, investment, tax, currency, technical barriers, regulations on conditions for exporting goods, etc. Thereby promptly supporting businesses, organizations and individuals in the province to grasp new information about the market, needs, cooperation opportunities, and market access in the process of international integration.
Improve and enhance the competitiveness index (PCI) of Lam Dong province in 2024 and the following years for the criteria on FTAs: quality of information provision related to FTAs by local state agencies to meet the needs of enterprises; difficulties in implementing documents implementing free trade agreements are effectively resolved by local state agencies; the rate of enterprises knowing about the programs to support enterprises to take advantage of opportunities from FTAs" and the rate of enterprises assessing the implementation of procedures to receive support from the program to support enterprises to take advantage of opportunities from FTAs as favorable.
From there, through the conference, delegates will be trained and improved in knowledge and skills to exploit and access information sources on international integration and benefits from integration, and support businesses to update information and effectively take advantage of opportunities from Free Trade Agreements (FTAs).
