KASIKORN Technology Business Group opens office in Ho Chi Minh City

KASIKORN Business - Technology Group (KBTG) has established KBTG Vietnam Company (office in District 1, HCMC).

This is KBTG's third center in the Asia region, aiming to attract Information Technology (IT) talents, thereby supporting KASIKORNBANK's Regional Digital Expansion strategy.

The company plans to hire more than 500 people over the next three years to make KBTG a leading technology company in the region. This is a stepping stone to KBank's goal of becoming one of the top 20 banks in Vietnam by 2027.

Representatives of KBTG, KBTG Vietnam and KBank interacted and answered interviews with press officials.

KBTG Vietnam's goal in 2023 is to recruit the first group of 200 IT personnel to develop software for KBank and international businesses, and upgrade the K PLUS Vietnam application - KBank's flagship product with more than 600,000 existing users and the main digital banking platform, supporting the expansion of the company's customer base in Thailand with a target of more than 1.3 million users by 2023.

KBTG Vietnam's focus is also on developing and distributing software based on the "3S" principle: Speed, Scale and Sustainability. Along with that, it is applying world- class software methods and technological capabilities with quality equivalent to KBTG in Thailand, and applying case studies around the world.

“The main mission of KBTG Vietnam is to develop software, create innovations in finance and technology to facilitate the business operations of KBank and corporate customers in Thailand, Vietnam and other ASEAN countries, with the important goal of becoming the leading technology company in Vietnam by 2025,” said Mr. Thanussak Thanyasiri, CEO of KBTG Vietnam.
