Hoa Phat Group supports Quang Ngai province with 30 billion VND to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses.

On the morning of November 28, 2024, Hoa Phat Group presented a support symbol of 30 billion VND to Quang Ngai province in response to the campaign to support the Program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in the province.

The launching ceremony to support the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses was organized by the Quang Ngai Provincial Party Committee, with the participation of the Provincial Party Secretary, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Head of the Steering Committee for the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses in the province, Bui Thi Quynh Van, leaders of the People's Committee and Vietnam Fatherland Front of Quang Ngai province, representatives of departments, branches, localities, units and enterprises located in the area.

According to statistics by November 2024, the whole province still has about 9,800 households in difficult circumstances that need support to eliminate temporary houses, dilapidated houses that are unsafe or do not have housing, while resources from the state budget and provincial budget are limited. Hoa Phat is the largest enterprise in Quang Ngai province. The Group has created jobs and stable income for over 17,000 workers, mainly local people. Responding to the above campaign, Hoa Phat Group joined hands to support the locality with 30 billion VND, contributing to helping the province complete the goal of eliminating temporary houses and dilapidated houses in 2025. Speaking at the launching ceremony, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Bui Thi Quynh Van acknowledged the contributions and cooperation of organizations and enterprises, including Hoa Phat Group. With the joint efforts of the whole community, the leaders of Quang Ngai province hope that 100% of the people in the province will live in safe, durable houses and settle down. Previously, responding to the call of the Government, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and ministries to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses by the end of 2025, Hoa Phat Group has supported the construction of more than 1,500 houses for the poor and disadvantaged households across the country. Of which, the Group supported Quang Ngai province with 30 billion VND and Phu Yen with 20 billion VND (equivalent to 1,000 houses), the rest are in Tra Vinh and Soc Trang. Since the beginning of investment in Quang Ngai province in 2017, Hoa Phat Group has spent more than 135 billion VND on practical social security activities in the province. Some of the main activities include sponsoring medical equipment, repairing and building new schools and roads, supporting orphans monthly, providing water filters for local schools, giving Tet gifts to the poor, etc.
