Yeah1 Group Joint Stock Company (YEG) must explain the phenomenon of its stock price hitting the ceiling for 5 consecutive trading sessions from December 17 to 23.
Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange (HoSE) has just sent a document to Yeah1 Group Joint Stock Company.
According to HoSE, through transaction monitoring, this agency found that from December 17 to December 23, YEG shares experienced 5 consecutive ceiling price sessions, which is a case that must be explained according to the provisions of Circular 96 of the Ministry of Finance.
On the stock market, YEG's current price is around 20,300 VND per share, up nearly 90% after 1 month and 125% after 1 quarter.
Going from the price range of 10,000 VND in mid-November to doubling after more than 1 month, YEG stock has brought "sweet fruit" to shareholders.
The document requesting an explanation from HoSE was just sent to Yeah1 Group yesterday (December 23), so up to now there has been no response from the business.
However, the price of YEG shares "flew high" at the same time the company successfully organized the program "Anh trai vu ngan cong gai". Yeah1 is currently the only unit that owns the copyright to produce this program in Vietnam.
At the online conference on culture, sports and tourism on the morning of December 18, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh suggested replicating concert models, including "Anh trai vu ngan cong gai", to contribute to promoting the cultural industry.
Recently, producer Yeah1 organized 2 Anh Trai concerts in Ho Chi Minh City and Hung Yen in the 4th quarter, "sold out" tickets, attracting tens of thousands of spectators.
Regarding business performance, YEG's revenue in the third quarter reached VND345 billion, an increase of more than 3 times compared to the same period last year. After deducting the cost of goods sold (VND265 billion), the company recorded a gross profit of VND79 billion, an increase of nearly 3.6 times. Not to mention, financial revenue in this period also increased from more than VND10 billion to VND24.5 billion.
Thanks to that, despite the increase in expenses, the company still reported a profit after tax of VND 34.3 billion, nearly 11 times higher than the same period last year. This is also the highest profit since 2022.
In the first 9 months of this year, YEG brought in nearly 630 billion VND in revenue, about 2.5 times higher than the same period last year. Profit after tax reached 55.7 billion VND, 4.5 times higher than the same period last year.
At this year's annual general meeting of shareholders, Ms. Ngo Thi Van Hanh - CEO of YEG - said that the company organized many programs and attracted many artists to participate.
Ms. Hanh gave an example of the program "Beautiful Sister Riding the Wind and Breaking the Waves" which worked with 30 female artists. Along with "Brother Overcoming Thousands of Challenges", YEG has 33 more male artists participating.
The financial report also shows that in the revenue structure, advertising and media consulting bring in the most money for this company with 560 billion VND, an increase of more than 3 times compared to the first 9 months of last year.
