Accordingly, the third writing contest “Trade Union Arms” in the Labor and Trade Union Magazine was launched on October 30, 2022 and will end on September 30, 2023. This contest, along with the two previous ones, has made the contest an annual activity, bearing the Magazine’s brand and has been welcomed and enthusiastically participated in by readers and writers.
As of September 30, 2023, the Organizing Committee of the Contest has received more than 2,000 entries from writers across the country. This number is 3.5 times higher than the first Contest and 2.5 times higher than the second Contest, making it the Contest with the largest number of entries ever.

Through the contest, many union members and workers in difficult circumstances were cared for practically and effectively; many touching stories about humanity and union love that were still hidden were therefore reviewed, discovered, and made known through the entries.
The preliminary round jury worked, evaluated, and selected the 25 best works to submit to the Organizing Committee for the final round. Based on the Rules and Regulations of the competition, the final round jury worked carefully, objectively, and unanimously classified the official awards including: 1 First Prize; 2 Second Prizes; 3 Third Prizes; 10 Encouragement Prizes and Specialized Prizes.

The three works that won the highest prizes of the Contest were “Overcoming Yourself” by author Nguyen Thi Le Hang, working at the State Treasury of Tra Vinh (First Prize); “The Place That Changed the Miners’ Lives” by author Nguyen Thi Huong Giang, working at Duong Huy Coal Company - TKV (Second Prize) and “My Foster Father, a Trade Union Officer” by author Nguyen Thi Thanh Hang, a student at the Hanoi Conservatory of Music (Second Prize).
Regarding the online contest "Workers, civil servants, and laborers learn about the Law on Drug Prevention and Control", within 1 month of the contest (from August 19, 2023 to September 19, 2023), 363,167 people from 82 provincial and municipal labor federations, central industry unions, and general corporation unions under the General Confederation participated in the contest. Of which, provincial and municipal labor federations directly under the Central have 265,077 entries; central industry unions and general corporation unions under the General Confederation have 98,032 entries.

As a result, 16,486 people answered 100% of the multiple-choice questions correctly. Of which, Nghe An Provincial Labor Federation led in the number of people answering the questions correctly (2,695 people); Vietnam Banking Trade Union ranked 2nd (1,569 people); National Defense Trade Union ranked 3rd (970 people); Information and Communications Trade Union ranked 4th (710 people); Vietnam Education Trade Union ranked 5th (688 people); Ninh Thuan Provincial Labor Federation (629 people)...
Also at the Award Ceremony, the staff and reporters of the Labor and Trade Union Magazine and the delegates reviewed the 94-year tradition of formation and development, the goal of innovation associated with innovation of the Trade Union organization. Accordingly, 94 years ago, on October 1, 1929, the Red Trade Union Magazine, the predecessor of the Labor and Trade Union Magazine, published its first issue - a "special issue", directly managed by Comrade Nguyen Duc Canh - Provisional President of the Red General Confederation of Labor of North Vietnam.

After 94 years of establishment and development, the Magazine has grown stronger and stronger, performing well the functions and tasks assigned by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; being the voice of the Trade Union organization, representing, caring for and protecting the rights of workers.
At the ceremony, a discussion on the challenges of journalists in specialized magazines in the digital age took place. Also at the ceremony, a discussion program on good, creative and effective ways to take care of union members and workers was organized. The discussion program also had the participation of a number of union members and workers who were practically and effectively cared for by the union organization and union officials. The delegates also shared experiences and practical and meaningful activities for union members, such as: the program "Union Meal" for union members and workers, the program "Union Shelter"...
Within the framework of the program, Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam also donated 50 million VND to workers and relatives of workers in difficult circumstances.
