Accordingly, the third "Trade Union Embrace" writing contest on the Labor and Trade Union Magazine was launched on October 30, 2022, and the deadline for submissions was September 30, 2023. This contest, along with the two previous ones, has made it an annual event, a branded activity of the Magazine, and has been enthusiastically received and participated in by readers and writers.
As of September 30, 2023, the Organizing Committee of the Contest had received more than 2,000 entries from writers across the country. This number is 3.5 times higher than the first Contest and 2.5 times higher than the second Contest, making it the Contest with the highest number of entries to date.

Through the competition, many disadvantaged union members and workers received practical and effective support; many touching stories about human kindness and union spirit that had been hidden were thus uncovered and brought to light through the submitted works.
The preliminary judging panel reviewed and selected 25 outstanding works to be submitted to the Organizing Committee for the final judging round. Based on the Rules and Regulations for judging, the final judging panel worked carefully and objectively, unanimously awarding the following official prizes: 1 First Prize; 2 Second Prizes; 3 Third Prizes; 10 Consolation Prizes and Special Prizes.

The three top-prize winning entries of the competition were: "Overcoming Yourself" by Nguyen Thi Le Hang, working at the Tra Vinh State Treasury (First Prize); "The Place That Changed the Life of a Miner" by Nguyen Thi Huong Giang, working at Duong Huy Coal Company - TKV (Second Prize); and "My Foster Father, a Trade Union Official" by Nguyen Thi Thanh Hang, a student at the Hanoi Conservatory of Music (Second Prize).
Regarding the online competition "Workers, civil servants, and laborers learn about the Law on Drug Prevention and Control," during the one-month period (from August 19, 2023 to September 19, 2023), 363,167 people from 82 provincial and city-level labor federations, central industry trade unions, and general corporation trade unions under the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor participated. Of these, provincial and city-level labor federations submitted 265,077 entries; central industry trade unions and general corporation trade unions under the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor submitted 98,032 entries.

The results showed that 16,486 people answered 100% of the multiple-choice questions correctly. Among them, the Nghe An Provincial Labor Union led in the number of correct answers (2,695 people); the Vietnam Banking Union ranked second (1,569 people); the National Defense Trade Union ranked third (970 people); the Information and Communications Trade Union ranked fourth (710 people); the Vietnam Education Trade Union ranked fifth (688 people); the Ninh Thuan Provincial Labor Union ranked fifth (629 people)...
Also at the awards ceremony, reporters and staff of the Labor and Trade Union Magazine and delegates together reviewed the 94-year tradition of formation and development, and the goals of innovation linked to the innovation of the Trade Union organization. Accordingly, 94 years ago, on October 1, 1929, the Red Trade Union Magazine, the predecessor of the Labor and Trade Union Magazine, published its first issue – a “special issue”, directly supervised by Comrade Nguyen Duc Canh – the interim President of the General Red Trade Union of Northern Vietnam.

Having undergone 94 years of development, the Magazine is now growing stronger, fulfilling the functions and tasks assigned by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; serving as the voice of the trade union organization, representing, caring for, and protecting the rights of workers.
At the ceremony, a panel discussion on the challenges faced by journalists at specialized journals in the digital age was held. Leaders of the Labor and Trade Union Journal and delegates highlighted the challenges journalists face in the digital age. These challenges require journalists at these journals to quickly adapt their working methods to keep pace with the transformation and development of information technology in the new era…

Also at the ceremony, a seminar on best practices, innovations, and effectiveness in caring for union members and workers was held. The seminar included the participation of several union members and workers who have received practical and effective care from the union and union officials. The delegates shared experiences and practical and meaningful activities for union members, such as the "Union Meal" program for union members and workers, and the "Union Shelter" program.
As part of the program, Vietnam Foreign Trade Commercial Bank also donated 50 million VND to workers and their relatives in difficult circumstances.
