Vietnamese Science Journal Listed in Scopus After Only 3 Years of Establishment

Today, April 24, the University of Transport Technology held a ceremony to announce that the university's scientific journal JSTT ( Journal of Science and Transport Technology , Vietnamese name is Science and Transport Technology ) was officially accepted into the Scopus database.

This event is considered a "miracle" of a Vietnamese scientific journal in scientific publishing activities when JSTT was only established for 3 years.

JSTT Journal (published online) is the 15th Vietnamese scientific journal listed in the international indexes Scopus, SCIE and ESCI.

The country currently has more than 600 scientific journals, but so far only 15 journals (including JSTT) have been included in the international indexing systems Scopus, SCIE and ESCI, accounting for less than 2.5%. In particular, the Scopus database is one of the largest and most prestigious scientific indexing systems in the world .

The last time the 14th Vietnamese scientific journal was included in the above international index system was in December 2023 (Journal of Economics and Development of the National Economics University, established in 1994). Therefore, the event of JSTT being included in Scopus is not only an important milestone for the University of Transport Technology but also an achievement that contributes to positioning Vietnam's scientific publishing industry on the international academic map.

JSTT is a specialized scientific journal published periodically by the University of Transport Technology. JSTT focuses on publishing research results of high practical value in the fields of engineering and technology. The journal adheres to a strict two-round peer review process, conducted by domestic and foreign experts, ensuring scientific quality, transparency and publishing ethics.

JSTT's editorial board brings together leading scientists from many countries with developed science such as the US, France, China, Japan, Norway... contributing to ensuring the professional quality and international reputation of each published article.

According to Associate Professor Nguyen Hoang Long, Principal of the University of Transport Technology, JSTT magazine officially released its first issue in December 2021. During the period 2021 - 2024, JSTT published 11 issues.

The journal currently has an SJR index of 0.158 on the Scimago Journal Rank system - one of the world's prestigious scientific journal ranking systems - in the fields of civil engineering, transport infrastructure engineering, mechanics of materials and applied technology.
