In order to help many ethnic minority women change their mindset and practices, create conditions for family economic development, and rise out of poverty, the Tan Son District Women's Union, in coordination with the Tan Son branch of Vietnam Post and Telecommunications Group ( VNPT ), organized training courses on "Applying Industry 4.0 technology in production and product promotion, bringing products to e-commerce platforms" and training on techniques for raising and caring for honey bees.

Creating livelihoods for ethnic minority women.

Honey produced from the beekeeping and honey production model in My Thuan commune generates an income of 8-10 million VND per month per member.

The training courses attracted 100 officials, members, business owners, traders, groups, cooperatives, and households, livelihood groups, and economic model cooperatives led and co-owned by women in My Thuan commune.

Accordingly, the training course "Guidance on applying Industry 4.0 technology in product production and promotion, and bringing products to e-commerce platforms" provides participants with support in brand building, registration of required standards, establishment of traceability systems, and quality management training; support in upgrading OCOP products, guidance on bringing products to e-commerce platforms such as Shopee, Voso, PostMart... and access to digital transformation to promote and develop tourism , and boost economic development...

In the honeybee breeding and care course, students received instruction and practical guidance from the lecturer on the following topics: biological characteristics of honeybees, the significance of beekeeping, the life and organization of bee colonies, modern beekeeping techniques, simple queen rearing techniques, bee colony breeding, colony splitting and bee introduction techniques, honey harvesting, and bee disease prevention...

This helps trainees enhance their knowledge and access scientific and technical knowledge in beekeeping and honey production, thereby encouraging people to boost production to increase income, stabilize household economies, and contribute to sustainable poverty reduction in the locality. The beekeeping livelihood group currently provides a stable income, with each member earning 8-10 million VND/month, thus improving the lives of the women.

This is one of the contents of Project 8 on "implementing gender equality and addressing urgent issues for women and children," aiming to replicate models for enhancing women's economic empowerment, promoting gender equality, and addressing urgent issues for women and children; ensuring the voice and genuine participation of women and children in socio-economic development activities.
