The Sao Khue Award 2024 has recognized the emergence of technological solutions developed in the direction of green transformation, typically FPT's VertZéro greenhouse gas inventory software. Winning this year's Sao Khue Award in the innovation category, the VertZéro solution comprehensively digitizes the process of collecting environmental data, calculating, managing, and creating emission reports, meeting global standards frameworks for reporting emissions and eliminating greenhouse gases.
“Green digital transformation - Global connection” has been chosen by the Vietnam Software and IT Services Association - VINASA as the message for the Association's activities in 2024. VINASA's goal is to actively participate in promoting domestic and global cooperation with many new opportunities related to the semiconductor industry and green economy.
Sharing at the 21st Sao Khue Award Ceremony held on April 13, Mr. Nguyen Van Khoa, Chairman of VINASA, said that a week ago, he represented VINASA to attend the Government meeting on promoting economic diplomacy. At this meeting, IT was identified as one of the spearheads, especially digital transformation, green transformation, and circular economy, which are considered new economic pillars for Vietnam to expand abroad. The Government has assigned the Ministries of Information and Communications, Foreign Affairs, and Industry and Trade the task of promoting the IT sector to expand abroad more strongly, in addition to traditional export sectors.
“My colleagues and I at VINASA have met Vietnamese digital technology businesses in foreign markets such as Japan and Korea; and have seen Sao Khue award-winning products begin to appear abroad. Therefore, I really hope that the Sao Khue award will be an inspiration for businesses to not only provide products and services within Vietnam, but also bring Made in Vietnam technology products to the world,” said Mr. Nguyen Van Khoa.
The Chairman of VINASA also emphasized that the whole world is undergoing digital transformation and green transformation. The Vietnamese Government has identified digital transformation and green growth as one of the two core elements in the process of economic restructuring and growth model transformation. In particular, in the development of the global semiconductor industry, Vietnam is the country chosen for the upcoming development strategy, with great advantages in human resources and geopolitics.
Affirming that Vietnamese digital technology enterprises are facing great opportunities, Mr. Nguyen Van Khoa also pointed out: Enterprises need to make great efforts to innovate, with even greater spirit and determination. " I hope that the Sao Khue Awards in the coming years will show us excellent platforms, services, and solutions in semiconductors, green digital transformation, creating a new development miracle for the IT industry, contributing to creating a new growth miracle for Vietnam" , Mr. Nguyen Van Khoa expressed.
At the VINASA 2024 strategy conference held at the end of January, participating in promoting the semiconductor industry and digital transformation - green transformation (green digital transformation) were agreed to be 2 of the 4 main orientations for the Association's activities in 2024 and the following years.
Realizing that the semiconductor industry will bring many opportunities for Vietnamese digital technology enterprises, especially in the design, testing and cooperation stages with international enterprises, at the beginning of 2024, VINASA decided to establish the Vietnam Semiconductor Industry Development Committee under the Association.
VINASA representative explained: The establishment of this Committee is to gather experts, businesses, and partners to promote the development of the semiconductor industry in Vietnam, through activities such as: Training and developing human resources; Disseminating knowledge and experience; Connecting cooperation; Research and development... Thereby, forming a force of businesses and experts participating in the global chip and semiconductor development ecosystem.
Emphasizing that green digital transformation is the next wave that has an impact on a global scale and aims for sustainable development, the VINASA representative said: This is a new market that Vietnamese technology enterprises need to be aware of and quickly transform to be able to catch up. The goal set for digital technology enterprises is not only to green transform their own businesses but also to advise customers and partners on transformation to meet global needs and markets.
To quickly adapt to the green digital transformation wave, this year, VINASA will make specific plans and orient activities to support businesses in accessing standards, systems, arranging solutions and cooperating to connect into technology solution sets to help green transformation. From there, promote the dual growth strategy of "Green and Digital", contributing to the sustainable development of the industry and the country.
