Many works were printed, exhibited, and performed, many professional art programs were elaborately staged, with quality, the grassroots literature and art movement received attention and investment, contributing to preserving and promoting the cultural heritage and traditional art of ethnic groups.
Based on the Central's guidance, the Union and associations have actively implemented the 10-year summary of Resolution No. 33-NQ/TW, dated June 9, 2014 of the 11th Party Central Committee on building and developing Vietnamese culture and people to meet the requirements of sustainable national development; developed plans and projects to summarize 50 years of literature and art after the country's reunification; actively participated in the movement to create and promote works on the theme "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style".
The Union and its associations have paid attention to and focused on literary and artistic theory and criticism activities. The Council of Theory and Criticism established by the Union has been operating stably, actively and effectively participating in criticism, award consideration, implementation of topics, seminars, talks, and professional activities. Foreign affairs and international cooperation in the field of culture, literature and art across the country have been strengthened, many cities in the country have coordinated with the Union and its associations to regularly host international art events. Many associations have successfully organized international and regional art competitions, exchanges, and festivals in Vietnam, actively sent delegations and submitted works to participate in literary and artistic activities abroad, contributing to promoting the development of Vietnamese literature and art, meeting entertainment needs, bringing socio-economic benefits, contributing to the propaganda and promotion of Vietnamese literature and art to the world, etc.
