(NLDO) – New record prices of SJC gold bars and gold rings continue to be recorded following the peak of world prices.
On the morning of March 14, the price of SJC gold bars continued to be listed by companies such as SJC, PNJ, DOJI at a new high, buying at 94.1 million VND/tael, selling at 95.6 million VND/tael, an increase of 1.2 million VND/tael compared to the end of yesterday.
Gold bar prices increased for the fourth consecutive day and increased by a total of VND3 million/tael. This is a new record for SJC gold bar prices.
Similarly, the price of 99.99 gold rings and jewelry gold of all kinds has not stopped increasing. SJC Company bought gold rings at 94 million VND/tael and sold at 95.5 million VND/tael, an increase of 1.1 million VND/tael compared to the end of yesterday.
The price of gold rings varies between businesses. PNJ Company sells plain gold rings for 95.3 million VND/tael; Phu Quy Group pushes the price of plain gold rings to over 96.1 million VND/tael, the highest level in history. The price of gold rings is also higher than that of SJC gold bars.
Gold price sets new record
Domestic gold prices skyrocketed following the world's upward trend. In the international market, gold prices today continued to set a new peak when they were traded at 2,988 USD/ounce, up nearly 50 USD/ounce compared to the previous session.
According to analysts, gold prices are fluctuating unpredictably. Because gold prices are increasing despite the strong recovery of the USD. The USD index on the international market this morning, Vietnam time, increased to 103.9 points, up 0.48% compared to the previous session.
Gold prices rose by tens of dollars per ounce and hit an all-time high amid the US threat to impose a 200% tariff on wine imported from Europe. The 25% tariff imposed by the US on imported steel and aluminum has come into effect. Canada announced it would impose a 25% tariff on $20 billion worth of US goods in retaliation.
From April 2025, the European Union (EU) will also impose countervailing tariffs on goods imported from the US.
Tariff tensions between countries push investors to seek gold as a safe haven.
Currently, the world gold price converted according to the listed exchange rate is about 92.5 million VND/tael.
