Pepper price today, November 9, 2024, in the Southeast region is stable in most key areas, trading around 138,000 - 139,000 VND/kg; the highest purchase price is in Dak Nong, Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Dak Lak provinces.
Accordingly, Dak Lak pepper price was purchased at 139,000 VND/kg, an increase of 500 VND/kg compared to yesterday. Chu Se pepper price (Gia Lai) was purchased at 138,000 VND/kg, stable compared to yesterday. Dak Nong pepper price today was recorded at 139,000 VND/kg, stable compared to yesterday.

In the Southeast region, pepper prices today remained unchanged compared to yesterday. Specifically, in Binh Phuoc, pepper prices today are at 138,000 VND/kg, stable compared to yesterday. In Ba Ria - Vung Tau, they are currently at 139,000 VND/kg, stable compared to yesterday.
Thus, domestic pepper prices today remained stable in key growing areas. The highest pepper price was at 139,000 VND/kg.
World pepper price today
Update on world pepper prices from the International Pepper Community (IPC), at the end of the most recent trading session, IPC listed the price of Indonesian Lampung black pepper at 6,706 USD/ton, up 0.61% compared to yesterday, and the price of Muntok white pepper at 9,180 USD/ton, up 0.61% compared to yesterday.
The price of Brazilian ASTA 570 black pepper was at $6,300/ton, down 1.59%. The price of Malaysian ASTA black pepper was at $8,500/ton; the price of this country's ASTA white pepper reached $11,000/ton.
In particular, the price of Vietnamese black pepper is stable at 6,500 USD/ton for 500 g/l; 550 g/l at 6,800 USD/ton; and white pepper price at 9,500 USD/ton.
According to preliminary statistics of the Vietnam Pepper and Spice Association (VPSA), in October, Vietnam imported 4,818 tons of pepper of all kinds, of which black pepper reached 4,566 tons and white pepper reached 252 tons, with a total import turnover of 29.3 million USD, an increase of 98.3% compared to the previous month.
Of which, Indonesia continued to be the main supplier of pepper to Vietnam in the month, reaching 3,970 tons, accounting for 82.4%; followed by Brazil: 501 tons, accounting for 10.4%.
The main importing enterprises include: Olam: 1,012 tons, Harris Spices: 863 tons, Phuc Sinh: 650 tons, Phuc Thinh: 630 tons and Tran Chau: 611 tons.
Cumulatively from January 1 to October 31, 2024, Vietnam imported 28,596 tons of pepper of all kinds, of which black pepper reached 25,456 tons, white pepper reached 3,140 tons, total import turnover reached 131.3 million USD, compared to the same period last year, import volume increased by 27.1%, turnover increased by 78.5%.
Leading importers include: Olam Vietnam: 9,510 tons, Tran Chau: 3,685 tons, Phuc Sinh: 1,942 tons, KSS Vietnam: 1,497 tons and Phuc Thinh: 1,396 tons.
Notably, in terms of import market, Indonesia surpassed Brazil to become the largest pepper supplier to Vietnam in the first 10 months of the year, accounting for 36% of the volume with 10,287 tons, up 257.2% over the same period.
Next is Brazil with 9,013 tons, accounting for 31.5%, down 35.5% and Cambodia with 23.4%, reaching 6,695 tons, up 96.7%.
