Both families receiving housing support are from Song Phung commune, Long Phu district (Soc Trang). Specifically, Mr. Huynh Van Vu's family in Phung Tuong 1 hamlet, Song Phung commune, Long Phu district (Soc Trang) is a household in difficult circumstances, with urgent housing issues. The family has 3 members, no land for production, and the couple mainly lives from hired work. Mr. Doan Thanh Tung's family in Phung Tuong 2 hamlet, Song Phung commune is also a household in particularly difficult circumstances, with their current housing in disrepair and no conditions to build a new one. Given the circumstances of the two families, the Soc Trang Provincial Red Cross Society has connected and strongly mobilized donors to donate Red Cross houses to the two families. The two houses built this time were sponsored by the Tan Binh District Red Cross Society, Ho Chi Minh City with a total cost of 140 million VND (each house is worth 70 million VND).
This is an activity in response to the “Humanitarian Month” in 2025 and continues to promote the campaign “Each organization, each individual is associated with a humanitarian address” to help people in difficult circumstances have stable housing. Thereby, it also demonstrates the spirit of mutual love, the rich help the poor of the community and contributes to the implementation of social security work in the area.
