Strengthening the implementation of price management and operation measures in 2025

The City People's Committee has just issued an official dispatch requesting departments, branches, sectors, People's Committees of districts and the Da Nang Market Management Department, according to their assigned functions and tasks, to focus on implementing and directing affiliated agencies, units and localities to implement price management and operation measures in 2025.

Accordingly, the Department of Industry and Trade proactively monitors the supply and demand developments and market prices of goods under its management to proactively plan or propose to competent authorities measures to ensure supply and demand balance and market stability; to avoid shortages or disruptions in supply that cause sudden price increases. At the same time, it strengthens the organization of events, trade promotion programs, fairs and exhibitions, and connects supply and demand to encourage consumers to prioritize using Vietnamese goods, promote domestic market development, and link production, distribution and consumption.

The Da Nang Market Management Department strengthens market inspection and control, supervises compliance with price laws; price declaration and sale at listed prices of goods and services in the city, resolutely and strictly handles cases of taking advantage of natural disasters, epidemics, and market fluctuations to unreasonably increase prices of goods and services, especially focusing on inspections at festivals and important events in the city.

People's Committees of districts and towns strictly control the declaration of prices of goods according to regulations and decentralization; inspect the implementation of price laws according to their authority; prevent speculation, hoarding of goods, excessive price increases, spreading false information, and unfair competition to protect consumer rights...
