Accordingly, implementing Official Dispatch No. 3656 of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism on strengthening the management of activities to protect and promote the value of historical - cultural relics and scenic spots; The People's Committee of Quang Nam province has just issued an official dispatch requesting:
The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, People's Committees of districts, towns and cities strictly implement the Law on Cultural Heritage, documents guiding the implementation of the Law on Cultural Heritage and regulations on investment and construction in the implementation of projects to preserve, restore and renovate relics, investment projects and works in relic protection areas.
Strengthen inspection, examination and supervision of the implementation of relic restoration and embellishment projects in accordance with the procedures and contents prescribed by law, resolutely and strictly handle violations that affect the value of relics (if any); ensure harmony between cultural heritage conservation and sustainable socio-economic development of the locality.
The Department of Finance, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the People's Committees of districts, towns and cities, relevant agencies and units shall strengthen the implementation of the state management function over donations and sponsorship money at historical and cultural relics in the area; ensure that donations and sponsorship money for relics and festival activities are used publicly, transparently, effectively, for the right purpose and in accordance with regulations.
Contribute to preserving and promoting the nation's fine traditional culture and actively contribute to the conservation, restoration, and embellishment of relics, the organization of festivals, and the promotion of the value of Vietnamese national cultural heritage.
At the same time, promptly advise the Provincial People's Committee on documents to implement Official Dispatch No. 77 of the Prime Minister on strengthening state management of donations and sponsorship money at historical and cultural relics nationwide.
The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism shall preside over and coordinate with relevant agencies, units and localities to review and urge the implementation of projects under the Program for Preservation and Sustainable Promotion of Vietnamese Cultural Heritage Values, period 2021 - 2030 according to Decision No. 1230 of the Prime Minister, promptly report to the Provincial People's Committee and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism on the progress and results of implementation.
Quang Nam currently has 458 ranked relics including all types: history, archeology, art architecture and landscapes; including 4 special national relics, 64 national relics and 390 provincial relics. There are 2 world cultural heritages: Hoi An Ancient Town and My Son Temple Complex.
