Strengthen management and stabilize prices of essential goods

Recently, the Standing Committee of Tuy Phong District Party Committee issued Official Dispatch No. 1480 directing the District People's Committee to strengthen the management and operation of prices in the district, in order to stabilize the prices of essential goods, creating favorable conditions for production, business, services, and tourism activities, while ensuring the stability of people's lives and promoting the district's socio-economic development.

Accordingly, the district's Interdisciplinary Inspection Team is directed to closely coordinate with relevant provincial departments and branches to strengthen market inspection and control; inspect and examine the business and service sectors, especially the declaration and posting of prices, compliance with the law on prices at hotels, motels, inns, markets, food service establishments, essential goods serving the lives of people in communes and towns, focusing on Lien Huong town and Binh Thanh tourist area. Resolutely handle organizations and individuals who violate the law, taking advantage of peak times to arbitrarily increase prices, contrary to the law.

At the same time, direct the Party Committees of communes and towns to step up information, propaganda, and mobilization of people and business and service establishment owners to strictly comply with the Party's guidelines and the State's policies and laws on prices. Grasp information and monitor the selling prices of goods, especially essential goods serving the daily lives of people; business establishments and food services in tourist areas and spots to promptly report and coordinate with the District Interdisciplinary Inspection Team and relevant agencies to inspect and strictly handle violations. Do not allow hoarding and unreasonable price increases to occur, causing public outrage.
