Strengthening animal disease prevention and control

Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee issued an official dispatch requesting localities to continue to strengthen animal disease prevention and control.

Accordingly, localities and specialized agencies continue to review vaccination results to continue mobilizing and focusing forces to complete the first phase of vaccination in 2025, ensuring progress and quality, determined not to let pathogens exist in high-risk areas, causing disease outbreaks and spread. Continue to mobilize owners of livestock facilities, households, villages, hamlets, and residential groups to regularly clean and sweep livestock areas, village roads, and alleys before spraying disinfectants; closely inspect and monitor the disease situation, periodically vaccinate and supplement vaccinations for newly imported livestock and poultry. Prepare enough vaccines and chemicals to supply to districts, towns, and cities for implementation; strictly manage and effectively use the quantity of vaccines and chemicals available, avoiding backlog and waste.
