In 2024, the total number of junior high school graduates studying vocational and cultural programs at Eastern College will be nearly 450. In addition to efforts to expand the scale of facilities with 56 theoretical classrooms, 32 practice rooms and workshops, dormitories, football fields, and libraries serving training, the school also invests in career counseling, skills training, and closely coordinates with businesses to increase the employment rate after graduation to over 90%.

However, the implementation of Decision 522 still faces many difficulties: Streamlining is not effective, funding for training support is limited. In particular, the team of teachers doing career counseling is lacking and does not meet professional requirements. In addition, social awareness about vocational training is still prejudiced, leading to students and parents being hesitant about this choice.

In his concluding remarks, Deputy Head of the Department of Culture and Society Nguyen Ngoc Luong acknowledged the efforts of the Eastern College in vocational training linked to the labor market, and at the same time suggested that the school continue to strengthen coordination with high schools and local authorities to promote propaganda and raise awareness among parents and students about post-secondary education.
