Dr. Nguyen Van Dong emphasized that collective activities organized by the trade union not only contribute to connecting cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers, but are also a practical way to care for spiritual life, creating a joyful and healthy atmosphere in agencies and units. This is also a vivid demonstration of the accompanying role of the trade union in building a positive, united and humane working environment, especially in the context of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs aiming to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the establishment of the sector.
According to Dr. Nguyen Van Dong, to organize effective collective activities, the union needs to focus on the stages of coming up with ideas, building detailed plans, assigning clear tasks, estimating costs and implementing. Each stage requires careful preparation, a sense of responsibility and the ability to coordinate smoothly between departments.
In addition, Dr. Nguyen Van Dong also spent time sharing important skills for union officials such as planning skills, coordination skills, animation skills, situation handling skills, and summarizing and evaluating activities. It can be said that these are key factors contributing to the success of a collective event.

At the end of the presentation, Dr. Nguyen Van Dong pointed out that in order for trade union activities to truly go into depth and create a widespread impact, it is necessary to always listen to union members' opinions, ensure safety, be consistent with traditional customs, diversify organizational forms and have contingency plans for arising situations. That is the foundation for trade unions at all levels to improve the quality of their activities, creating a positive mark in the lives of cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers.
“Collective activities, if organized systematically, creatively and flexibly, will be the glue that binds people in the trade union organization, and at the same time an effective tool to build a humane, progressive and inspiring working environment,” said Dr. Nguyen Van Dong.

Also within the framework of the Conference, Ambassador Phuong Cong Trong, former Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, shared many valuable experiences in studying, training and developing capacity for union officials and members.
The Ambassador emphasized that officials need to continuously study, study more, and study forever to meet the requirements of the job in the new situation. Studying is not only to improve professional qualifications but also to help perfect oneself in the work being undertaken. In particular, learning needs to be clearly oriented, from personal learning to learning from the organization; thereby drawing many valuable lessons and experiences.
Learning is also to solve practical problems, appropriate and effective to the context and requirements of the organization. Cadres need to know how to choose appropriate learning materials, improve self-study skills from books, professional documents and even from the Internet.

According to Ambassador Phuong Cong Trong, another important factor is to change one's mindset, which means being positive, proactive, flexible and adapting quickly to reality. To develop oneself, each person needs to have critical thinking, be creative and always renew themselves. From knowledge, skills, attitudes - all contribute significantly to forming capacity.
In particular, setting clear goals is also an important premise for success. Goals must be determined in each stage: short-term, medium-term and long-term. Specifically, each goal must be specific, clear, measurable, and must come from the individual's own internal strength, suitable for the organization and the job. Once goals are set, staff need to develop strategies and plans to gradually turn goals into specific actions.
In addition, communication skills, emotional management, negotiation and bargaining are also essential abilities. A person with positive, optimistic and life-loving living skills will easily create sympathy in communication. To gain the cooperation of others, first of all, you must understand them and put yourself in their shoes. When communicating, you need to skillfully integrate culture, use appropriate language, and express yourself naturally and friendly. In exchanges, presentation and negotiation skills will help influence and persuade partners more effectively.
