Faced with the situation of students violating traffic order and safety regulations in the city, especially underage students driving motorbikes to school, driving at high speeds..., Lao Cai City Police have just deployed a specialized plan to handle parents and students who violate traffic safety laws.

According to the plan, Lao Cai City Police will focus on three main contents: Basic investigation, grasping the situation; organizing propaganda, mobilizing and strengthening patrols, control and handling violations.
Specifically, the traffic police force of Lao Cai City Police will take the lead in coordinating with the police of communes and wards to conduct basic investigations, grasp the situation on traffic routes connecting to schools where students often drive motorbikes and electric vehicles; the situation of violations of traffic order and safety around the area, at gathering points where many students show signs of violating the Road Traffic Law through the security camera system and traffic monitoring... to develop an effective patrol and handling plan.
Regarding propaganda work, promote propaganda of laws on traffic order and safety for students and parents to raise awareness and responsibility in complying with legal regulations on ensuring traffic order and safety when participating in traffic... Through residential groups, parents' associations..., the traffic police force will regularly remind parents not to let their children drive vehicles when they are not old enough, and strictly comply with the provisions of the Road Traffic Law.

Along with the above two contents, Lao Cai City Police will strengthen patrolling, controlling and handling violations in school-age children, focusing on errors that can cause accidents such as driving at a speed exceeding the prescribed speed, not having a driver's license, not being old enough to drive according to regulations, driving in a row, weaving, swerving, going in the wrong direction... In particular, cases where parents intentionally give their children who are not qualified to drive will be strictly handled.
