On April 5, the Department of Domestic Market Management and Development (Ministry of Industry and Trade) sent an official dispatch to the Department of Industry and Trade of provinces and cities on implementing solutions to develop the domestic market and stimulate consumption in 2025.
Accordingly, the departments of industry and trade carry out tasks and solutions to develop the domestic market, stimulate consumption, and contribute to achieving the economic growth target in 2025.
Faced with unpredictable market fluctuations, the Department of Industry and Trade directed market management forces to strengthen local management, monitor and update developments, proactively coordinate with functional agencies to inspect and control the market, focusing on prices, origin, product quality, compliance with food safety regulations, etc.
Detect and promptly handle violations, especially trading in smuggled goods, counterfeit goods, and goods of unknown origin.
Along with that, it is necessary to handle speculation, hoarding, unreasonable price increases of goods and services; violations in trade promotion, violations on e-commerce platforms, in order to ensure market stability, production and business activities of enterprises and consumption of people.
The Department of Domestic Market Management and Development also requires proactively informing, propagating, and mobilizing organizations and individuals in production and business to strictly comply with legal regulations; at the same time, publicizing violations and results of handling violations on mass media.
It is expected that in April 2025, the Department of Domestic Market Management and Development will organize conferences and work directly with the Departments of Industry and Trade to grasp the situation, agree on plans and implement activities to develop the domestic market and stimulate consumption, according to Directive No. 08/CT-BCT of the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
