Strengthening the connection between Vietnam - UAE supply chain and production chain

NDO - On the evening of October 27 (local time), in the capital city of Abu Dhabi, on the occasion of an official visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh attended the Vinfast car exhibition and introduction ceremony.

Speaking at the ceremony, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh highly appreciated the efforts of Minister of State for Foreign Trade and Minister of Talent Acquisition Thani Bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, who has been very active in shuttling between Vietnam and the UAE to complete the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA); stating that digital transformation, green transformation, and circular economy are hot topics and trends in the world. Therefore, Vietnam and the UAE are pioneering and actively implementing these fields to contribute to combating climate change and achieving Net Zero by 2050. The Prime Minister highly appreciated the fact that last year, the UAE successfully organized the COP28 Conference and the Prime Minister attended this important event. Vietnam is also developing wind, solar, hydrogen, and natural gas energy. Vietnam is also actively perfecting its institutions, ensuring favorable mechanisms and policies for the development of this field. Therefore, the two countries share the same goal and purpose of developing clean energy sources.

The Prime Minister highly appreciated Vingroup Corporation and Vinfast Company; Vingroup's presence in the UAE and the introduction of electric cars here demonstrates the close cooperation between the two countries, contributing to the green transition process in this country; hopes that citizens of Middle Eastern countries will trust and use Vinfast electric cars; hopes that Vinfast, with the support of the UAE Government and people, will actively participate with UAE partners in developing strategic infrastructure in Vietnam. The Prime Minister hopes that UAE officials will continue to support Vietnam, support Vinfast in developing the economy, and well implement the plan to implement the CEPA Agreement between Vietnam and the UAE, which will be officially announced on October 28, with specific products and specific benefits, thereby strengthening the connection between the two economies. These are extremely important issues for the two countries. The Prime Minister also hopes that UAE people will love many Vietnamese products; said that he has directed the Minister of Industry and Trade to organize exhibitions of Vietnamese goods in the UAE every quarter to connect the supply chain and production chain of the two countries, bringing benefits to the people of Vietnam and the UAE. This also aims to concretize the CEPA.
