On the afternoon of August 9, a delegation from Quang Ninh province led by Mr. Dang Xuan Phuong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, attended the Hokkaido - Vietnam Human Resources Forum. Also attending the program were Ms. Nguyen Thi Hanh, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee and leaders of a number of local departments, agencies and branches in the province. This is an activity within the framework of the Vietnam Festival in Sapporo 2024, Japan.
At the forum, a representative from Hokkaido province presented a presentation on the socio-economic development of the locality. He emphasized that Hokkaido is a province with highly developed agriculture, fisheries and tourism. Currently, the province has attracted a large number of Vietnamese people to study, live and work. However, with a high rate of aging population, the locality always lacks human resources in many fields. Hokkaido province has always had many support policies to attract human resources from Quang Ninh province and Vietnam to study and work.
At the forum, leaders of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of the province presented a presentation on human resources and labor of Quang Ninh. At the same time, they proposed a number of cooperation contents: Hokkaido province supports Quang Ninh in training high-quality human resources in new fields such as green transformation, digital transformation, semiconductors, etc.; creates conditions and has policies to attract more workers from Quang Ninh province to work in Hokkaido; strengthens cooperation, conferences, seminars in the fields of scientific research, job creation, vocational training to exchange teaching experiences, develop programs, and train teachers between Hokkaido and Quang Ninh provinces.
At the forum, the President of Ha Long University presented information on the human resource training strategy of Ha Long University. He affirmed that in the past time, the university has always attached importance to and has had many agreements and cooperation programs on student exchange, internship and receiving expert lecturers with Japanese partners. Ha Long University determined to continue to be proactive and creative in implementing educational and training tasks; promptly supplementing tasks and solutions to the university's high-quality human resource training strategy to provide high-quality human resources for Quang Ninh province and Japanese partners.
The Hokkaido - Vietnam Human Resources Forum opens up opportunities for cooperation and human resource exchange between Vietnam and Japan, contributing to the overall success of the Vietnam Festival in Hokkaido 2024.
