The delegation had a working session with the Brussels Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BECI). Ms. Ekaterina Clifford, Director of International Community at BECI received and worked with the delegation.
The Brussels Chamber of Commerce and Industry is an independent private organisation composed of the Chamber of Commerce and the Brussels Business Confederation. It represents the interests of over 35,000 Belgian companies and provides a wide range of services, from administrative and legal advice to third-party support. BECI is also an organisation with experience in working with and connecting Belgian and foreign companies.
Speaking at the meeting, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council gave an overview of the natural geographical conditions, historical and cultural traditions, potentials, strengths and socio-economic development strategies of Ninh Binh province, helping the Belgian business community have full information about the environment and investment opportunities in Ninh Binh.
At the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Song Tung shared important information about development planning, trade promotion orientation, investment attraction of Ninh Binh province; socio-economic development situation, investment attraction of Ninh Binh province, achievements and strengths of the province's businessmen and enterprises at present.
Ms. Ekaterina Clifford expressed her pleasure to receive and work with the delegation. She highly appreciated the socio-economic development achievements of Ninh Binh province in recent times and the development potential of the province, especially the development orientation of the province.
BECI International Community Director Ekaterina Clifford also spent a lot of time sharing information with the delegation about the business scene in Brussels and the services that BECI is providing to businesses, especially those who are in need of business cooperation with Belgian businesses. In the spirit of trust and cooperation, Ms. Ekaterina Clifford said that BECI is ready to advise and support Ninh Binh province in trade and investment promotion activities; ready to support Ninh Binh enterprises to join BECI's network; provide Ninh Binh enterprises with information about Belgian enterprises when they have a need for investment and business cooperation.
Appreciating the role of the Brussels Chamber of Commerce and Industry in promoting economic cooperation, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council hoped that in the coming time, Ninh Binh province will receive cooperation and assistance from BECI. Comrade Vu Thu Thuy, Counselor - Second Person of the Embassy of Vietnam in Belgium - Vietnamese Delegation to the European Union discussed with the Delegation about the situation of relations between Vietnam and the European Union, relations between Vietnam and Belgium in recent times and shared potential areas of cooperation that Ninh Binh province can take advantage of to expand cooperation with countries in the European Union and the Kingdom of Belgium.

Providing information about the potentials, advantages and development orientations of the province and the areas in which Ninh Binh is focusing on attracting investment, he said: The province has been consistently and effectively implementing the "Green and Sustainable" economic development orientation, taking the preservation and promotion of the values of cultural and historical heritage and the fine traditions of the people of the ancient capital as resources and driving forces for development. In the coming time, Ninh Binh province will prioritize attracting investment in developing clean, environmentally friendly industries; organic and circular agricultural production; promoting service development, especially tourism development.
The Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee expressed his hope that the Vietnamese Embassy in the Kingdom of Belgium would continue to help and support Ninh Binh province in promoting and attracting Belgian partners and investors, as well as accompanying the localities and businesses of both sides in connecting and implementing cooperation projects, especially projects on eco-tourism and high-end resort services; training high-quality human resources; building infrastructure for industrial parks, tourist areas, and urban areas; manufacturing and assembling automobiles; supporting industries for the automobile manufacturing industry; manufacturing electronic components; clean, high-tech industries; developing high-tech agriculture and processing agricultural products. Appreciating the development achievements of the province in recent years, the Ambassador believed that this investment promotion trip of the province will achieve good results, thereby contributing to promoting the economic and trade cooperation between Vietnam and Belgium in general, and Ninh Binh province and Belgian enterprises in particular.
