Vietnamese brand product introduction activities in Ninh Ba
The Vietnamese brand product introduction event in Ningbo was held at Nantang Pedestrian Street, Ningbo City, with the participation of 15 Vietnamese enterprises, combining the form of booth display and live streaming to sell products. Many typical products such as bird's nest, coffee, cashew nuts, moon cakes, processed foods, spices and many other high-quality products of Vietnam have received the welcome of many consumers in Ningbo, China.
At the opening ceremony, Mr. Nguyen The Tung, Consul General of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in Shanghai, stated that Ningbo is one of the most important port cities in China, with a rich history and culture, and is also a major economic center of Zhejiang province. With developed transport and logistics infrastructure, Ningbo is a potential gateway for Vietnamese goods to penetrate the Chinese market. With that meaning, participating in this Vietnam - China typical brand promotion activity are representatives of many high-quality Vietnamese brands, hoping that through this activity, consumers and businesses in Ningbo can understand more specifically about the advantages and quality of Vietnamese goods, as well as find specific cooperation opportunities.
Mr. Thai Ly Quan, Deputy Director of the Ningbo City Commerce Bureau, said that Vietnam is currently one of Ningbo City's largest trading partners in the ASEAN region. Ningbo's total import and export turnover with Vietnam in 2023 reached 4.81 billion USD, up 3.2% over the same period last year. In the first 10 months of 2024 alone, this turnover reached 4.58 billion USD, up 20.3% over the same period, far exceeding the city's average import and export growth rate.
Mr. To Ngoc Son, Deputy Director of the Asia-Africa Market Department, said that with the importance of Ningbo city, the Ministry of Industry and Trade has decided to implement the 2024 Vietnamese Brand Product Introduction Program in this city. Hopefully, through this program, it will support businesses in building brands in the Ningbo market in particular, Zhejiang in general and on different trade platforms, contributing to expanding the export of each side's strong goods and actively contributing to promoting the Vietnam-China friendship, towards the "Vietnam-China Humanitarian Exchange Year" 2025.
At the opening ceremony, representatives of Khanh Hoa Salanganes Nest State-owned One Member Co., Ltd. signed a cooperation agreement on goods supply with Beijing Tong Ren Tang Group and Ningbo City Agricultural and By-product Logistics Center.
The event was successfully held from December 20 to 22, 2024 at Nantang Pedestrian Street, Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province, China, attracting the attention, visits, and product experiences of thousands of Chinese consumers.
Vietnam - China Business Connection Seminar (Ningbo)
Within the framework of the working trip, the Department of Asia - Africa Market (Ministry of Industry and Trade) and the International Trade Promotion Committee of Ningbo City jointly organized a Trade Dialogue and Business Connection between Vietnam - China (Ningbo), attracting more than 100 business representatives from the two countries.
At the seminar, the leaders of both sides highly appreciated the potential for cooperation between Vietnamese and Chinese enterprises, especially emphasizing the role of Ningbo as an important gateway for Vietnamese goods to deeply access the Chinese market. Mr. Lo Xuan Quyet, Chief Representative of the Vietnam Trade Promotion Office in Hangzhou, shared about the socio-economic development situation and the business investment environment in Vietnam, helping the Ningbo business community understand more about Vietnam.
The discussion took place in a sincere and open atmosphere. Vietnamese businesses trading in products such as bird's nest, coffee, cashew nuts, moon cakes, processed foods, spices and many other high-quality products had very active and effective exchanges with businesses operating mainly in the fields of trade, import-export, warehousing and logistics of the Chinese side.
In the coming time, the Ministry of Industry and Trade will continue to carry out trade activities and promote Vietnamese brands in China, contributing to promoting sustainable and effective development of bilateral economic and trade cooperation.
