2025 is the 75th anniversary of the establishment of China-Vietnam diplomatic relations, and is also the "Year of China-Vietnam People's Exchange."
The recent opening of more air routes between China and Vietnam, and the continued increase in flight frequency between the two countries, have provided faster, more convenient and more efficient means of transportation for cooperation and development, adding new impetus to deepening economic and trade exchanges, and contributing new forces to enhancing people-to-people exchanges between the two countries.
On the morning of March 30, flight number MF8697 of China's Xiamen Airlines landed at Noi Bai International Airport, Hanoi (Vietnam), marking the successful opening of Xiamen Airlines' scheduled round-trip direct flight route from Fuzhou to Hanoi.
Fuzhou is also the 20th city in China to open direct flights to Vietnam. Up to now, Xiamen Airlines' direct passenger flights to Vietnam have increased to 25 flights/week.
In the opposite direction, 25 representatives of major Vietnamese tourism businesses took the first flight to Fuzhou to conduct a survey of cultural tourism routes.
It is hoped that the opening of this new flight route will develop more routes and tourism products with better quality, helping tourists travel more conveniently and the tourist cities of the two countries develop more prosperously.
This is expected to be the starting point for new tourism programs, contributing to increasing two-way tourist flows between Vietnam and China.
In addition, Vietnamese airlines are also expanding their flight network to China. On March 30, Vietnam Airlines officially opened a new route from Beijing Daxing to Ho Chi Minh City.
At the same time, from March 30, Vietnam Airlines also increased flights from Beijing Capital Airport to Hanoi, previously there were only 5 flights/week, now increasing to one flight per day.
Up to now, Vietnam Airlines has 6 regular flights to China, the total number of weekly regular flights has increased to 40, connecting Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City of Vietnam with major cities of China such as Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou...
VietJet Air has recently opened five new routes between major cities in China and Vietnam.
On March 31, VietJet Air opened direct flights from Beijing and Guangzhou to Ho Chi Minh City, as well as from Guangzhou to Hanoi; on April 1, it opened a direct flight from Beijing to Hanoi; on April 29, it opened a direct flight from Shanghai to Hanoi.
Vietjet Vice President Nguyen Thanh Ha said that with the strategy of continuously expanding the flight network, bringing flight opportunities at economical and convenient costs to people and tourists, Vietjet is pleased to launch four more routes to the leading economic, cultural and tourism centers of China, the region and the world, namely Beijing and Guangzhou.
Vietjet flights will not only connect Vietnam with China but also further expand Vietjet's flight network.

At the opening ceremony of the Ho Chi Minh City-Beijing and Ho Chi Minh City-Guangzhou routes of VietJet Air, Chinese Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City Wei Huaxiang said that the opening of new routes from Ho Chi Minh City to Beijing and Guangzhou by Vietjet Air brings benefits to Vietnam and China in cooperation and development in the fields of economy, trade, culture, tourism, etc. Thereby, promoting cooperation between the two countries to be deeper and more practical, strengthening the close friendship between the people of the two countries.
Vietjet Air Deputy General Director Do Xuan Quang said that he will continue to open more routes between China and Vietnam, building a bridge of exchange between the two countries.
Meanwhile, a leader of Noi Bai International Airport said the opening of the new flight route not only plays an important role in enhancing connectivity between the two regions, but also has special significance in the context of 2025 marking the 75th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam-China diplomatic relations.
The new routes mark an important step in enhancing aviation cooperation between the two countries, while creating favorable opportunities for developing tourism, trade and cultural exchange between cities of the two countries./.
