According to statistics from the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department, in the first 6 months of 2024, there were 2,222 fires nationwide, killing 57 people, injuring 45 people, and causing property damage of approximately 127.9 billion VND. Compared to the same period in 2023, the number of fires increased by 361 cases. Fires mainly occurred in urban areas. Of which, fires in residential houses still accounted for the highest proportion. Of the 1,299/2,222 fires whose causes were investigated, fires caused by electrical system and equipment failures accounted for 72.9%.
The cooperation program "Propaganda, dissemination of legal knowledge, fire prevention and fighting and rescue skills on VTC digital platform" between units marks an important step forward in applying digital technology to propaganda and dissemination of legal knowledge on fire prevention and fighting and rescue, as well as equipping people with necessary skills to proactively prevent and respond to fire and accident situations.
Specifically, VTC will coordinate with the Fire Prevention and Fighting Police Department to provide a digital education and training platform, produce, communicate, widely promote, and disseminate useful digital knowledge to serve the community on fire prevention and fighting and rescue. This is a platform that reaches a large number of people, an effective tool to measure the level of interest and understanding based on people's learning data. At the same time, it is also a reporting and analysis tool to manage and propose measures to improve knowledge and skills on fire prevention and fighting and rescue.
The Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department is responsible for professional content and appraisal of digital learning materials developed by VTC Corporation.

The signing of the cooperation agreement is a suitable direction in the digital age, bringing practical and great results, contributing to the highest goal of ensuring the lives, health, and safety of the people, preventing unfortunate fire and explosion incidents.
Deputy Minister Phan Tam directed that VTC, with the spirit of continuous innovation, promoting all advantages and experiences in digital education, must focus all resources, find effective ways to build attractive and accessible digital learning materials to effectively carry out propaganda work to raise people's awareness and skills in fire prevention and fighting and rescue; VTC continues to research and apply digital technology to increasingly improve the quality of skills training, using training quality to deepen the cooperative relationship of the parties, using that deep and effective cooperation to demonstrate the role of digital technology in all aspects of social life and open up more opportunities for cooperation in the coming time.

At the signing ceremony, VTC Corporation organized the first lesson experience "Escape skills when a fire occurs in a tube house" with attractive content, providing the most useful knowledge and skills for people of many generations.
Also within the framework of the program is the Signing Ceremony of the Cooperation Agreement on the Implementation of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Propaganda Program for the people of Hoan Kiem District between VTC Corporation and the People's Committee of Hoan Kiem District. This is the first locality in the country to benefit from the implementation of this program. Through this, it is the basis for evaluating and perfecting the learning materials, in order to best promote the effectiveness of the training program.
The curriculum is expected to officially launch from July 2024, aiming to reach the entire population from 2024.
With the strength of deploying learning materials and games, VTC will bring training programs agreed upon by all parties to the entire population. The courses are deployed on the digital training platform https://edu.vtc.vn , including 20 in-depth topics on: Risks and harms of fire and explosion; Personal responsibility and principles of fire prevention and fighting; Fire prevention in family life; Escape skills in different situations; Using fire extinguishers, fire hoses, fire hoses; First aid for victims; Drowning prevention; Fire prevention and rescue knowledge for students... The program content includes interactive lectures, hypothetical situations and attractive, easy-to-understand tests, putting learners in real situations, learning while playing, helping to improve knowledge and skills of fire prevention and rescue, and applying them immediately to real life.
